3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours darkish gold with a slight white head. Aroma is smoothly hoppy - must be a mix - but tropical fruit and citrus are probable. Full bodied. There’s a nice caramel backbone, and there’s a lot of hop - floral, citrus rind, and perhaps pine or earthy. It’s very hoppy, but not harsh. It’s finishing very hoppy, definitely bitter, but entirely refined. Excellent.

Bottle, can’t tell how fresh. Aroma and flavor seem mostly in place so I’m guessing this ain’t brand new but far from ancient. I try to stick to hoppy beers with bottle dates but I was curious about this one so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pours golden with a thick white head. Big tropical hop aroma, taste follows with guava, passion fruit, honey, light caramel. Finish is pretty sweet and sticky, not unexpected at 8.5%. Tons of hops butI still feel like I’m missing something here, would love to try this super fresh.

Bottle from SB. Pours two fingers. Smell of fudge, sugar and wood. Taste is good but maybe it is a little too old. A good beer though.

Blockbuster IPA. Very much to my palate of the way IPA should be. The aroma and taste are spot on. Great hop combo that just sings from the glass. Taste luckily matches. Have introduced so many people to this beer and all appreciate the floral juggernaut. Will sit and write detailed notes when. Next drinking. Get em fresh.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I’m an unashamed hop zombie fan boy. This time on tap at pirate bar. Fruit bowl aroma with tropical fruits dominating. Bright orange with small fine head. Taste is fucking sensational- bright, tropical hop driven beautness (excuse my Australianess) I’m sure there will be those who say it’s overrated... But fuck those people. It’s not. It’s a superbly balanced, well rounded masterpiece.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Golden color, thin lacy head. Powerful hop aroma, ripe peaches and strawberry, floral notes, some resins. Whiffs of caramel. Malty, round flavor is pleasantly dry. Heavy but round bitterness, resiny bite in the finish. Berryish aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. Well balanced DIPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Great golden color with considerable amount of head. Smells hoppy, of course, very hoppy! Can maybe feel also a bit of caramel aroma in it. The taste is no surprise, hoppy, which is to be expected by the name of the beer ;). So overall, a good double IPA, but I won't say a great one. Maybe it's me, maybe I've drunk too many IPAs laty...will have to retake it in order to be fair to it!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear orange gold with a loose, soapy two finger white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim around the edge, no lacing. Nose is strongly hoppy, resiny pine and grapefruit, herbal and floral, but with noticeable malt in the background. Taste is emphatically hoppy, with pine resin dominating a little citrus and caramel malt. Medium to light body and slippery, with low carbonation and a long, lingering bitter finish with mild warming.
A bit of a palate wrecker, but still possessing a noticeable malt backbone. Definitely a little rough around the edges, but that’s part of its charm.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Zombie Burger DSM. Pours clear dark gold with a thick pearly off white head. Aroma of sweet hops. Flavour is a bit dark fruits and flowery HOPS. Body is nicely thin for a DIPA. Finish is smoothly bitter, not thick or sweet. Great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Good tropical scent. Well hopped, fruity taste. Heavy bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the mouth well. Almost think it was too much bitterness in this beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
