Bottle from BC Liquors, Park Royale, West Vancouver
Golden color, clean, with small compact head.
The aroma is wonderful, immediate impact, plenty of fruits, mango mainly, peach, and a hint of passion fruit; followed by some zesty lemon and more traditional hop smell.
The mouthfeel is round bust also smooth and lean; very good malt flavor, sweet with elegance, not cloying nor hard, dynamic, with plenty of fruits and soft hop resins; strong bitterness, but you don’t even notice it.
Needless to say, the final is long, balanced and vibrant; still carrying the mango and peach forward.
It’s pricey, but it’s also a perfect Imperial IPA as I haven’t had in long time.

bhensonb (8997) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours darkish gold with a slight white head. Aroma is smoothly hoppy - must be a mix - but tropical fruit and citrus are probable. Full bodied. There’s a nice caramel backbone, and there’s a lot of hop - floral, citrus rind, and perhaps pine or earthy. It’s very hoppy, but not harsh. It’s finishing very hoppy, definitely bitter, but entirely refined. Excellent.

500 ml bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of bread, kind bud, grapefruit, pine and light tropical fruit. Palate was medium to full bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, pine resin and kind bud with a smooth dry bitter lingering dank citrus finish.

BMan1113VR (7381) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Bottle with a best before of September 25, 2013. Pours with a full golden hued body and a large, fluffy eggshell white head with good lace and retention. Massive and fresh hop aroma! Grassy, huge tropical fruit with kiwi, lychee and mango. Mild passionfruit and Nelson like fruitiness. Mild malt. Huge tropical fruit flavor as well. Floral, grassy and passion fruit, balanced bitterness, low minerality, bready malt backing. Well made. Very dry finish, assertive. Medium bitter balance, crisp. Lively bubbles and slightly warming.

DuffMan (5196) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 4, 2013
Bottle. Hazy orange-gold with an enormously appealing tropical fruit hop aroma, lots of mango, passion fruit, guava. Juicy hoppy intensely laboured palate, just the type of hop profile I love. Despite the intensity it remains so incredibly drinkable! Luscious!

500ml bottle. Seems extremely effervescent with a ton of bubbles escaping the etching on the bottom of the glass. It helps the aroma on this one burst. It smells like a number of Pipeworks IPAs. Big citrus, some mango, tropical fruit and the same sort of malt profile which is sweet but not bready. The flavor is great. Huge piney bitterness, floral sweetness, and some nice citrus. Amazingly this still tastes fresh, and it is great.

mcberko (4056) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
500mL bottle, pours a pale golden with a small white head. Nose has loads of piney hops, a bit of resin and a bit of floral hop notes, with a light cracker malt backing. Flavour brings out fairly bitter piney hops, a bit of passionfruit, some citrus and orange, and a light cracker malt backing. Very pleasant flavours, but not the most dynamic or complex array of them. Highly drinkable and quite enjoyable. Good one.

reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 14, 2013
500ml bottle pours a deep golden color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some rather nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild but pleasant with some tropical fruits and citrus. Taste is a citrus and pine hop bitterness with a malty and fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with some nice carbonation. A well constructed brew that is quite tasty and highly recommended.
