3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Oooo man. Light amber, small bubbly head that rings. Holy shit what a savage first 10 minutes put out by the Oilers vs the Stars. Malty biscuit, apricot, Rrgf, pineapple juice, maybe some caramel. The aroma dropped off big time but I still like. Slight flowery tropical note. Good taste - it’s got power but power that is under control. Huge hops balanced well with the same malts I found in the aroma. The grapefruit is in the twilight Zone between ruby red and unsweetened, perfume, Nelson memories, tropical, citrus goodness, last sip shows some spice. I dig. I think Armageddon was better, different beers.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
8.5%ABV. Imperial IPA.
Poured out Amber. 10ºSRM.
Nose has tons of citrus, spice and fresh pine. May even be a little resinous tail on this thing that is just very very pleasant.
Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate is well provisioned grain bill with thick sweet malty flavors suggesting honeyed Graham cracker toast, honeyed wheat toast and marmalade, especially with the nice tang of citrus, lemon to or orange peel coming quite nicely in the middle to tail end of all that sweet. Hops are spicy, bitter, minty and hyssop like.
Finish is medium long with bitter and herbaceous flavors predominating.
Very very good overall and a very pleasurable ride.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2016-05-15. Crisp golden amber body with modest creamy off-white head. 3++ Aroma is hoppy, fruity, light malt undertones. Flavour is pleasantly hoppy, moderate bitterness throughout, fruity hops, biscuity malt in the finish. Smooth average bodied palate, soft effervescent carbonation. 3+ Solid. Nice but the hop character is not quite has vibrant as I had hoped. 7/4/7/3/14-15 Bottle from Hamilton Beer and Wine, Hamilton, NZ.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Small of pineapple mango paypya and peach with sweet malts floral scent. A bit of lemongrass hey and a bit of spicy pepperiness. A crazy half Orange half yellow color with short white head that dies quick. Taste is crazy starting off with sweet malts with Orange juice and peel. A bit of peach coming through in the middle with a Juicey hop taste with sweet dry bitter finish that keeps your mouth watering for days. Medium to full sticky body with balanced carbonation coats tougue over and over again with each sip. The watering effect is awesome and the Juicey hop flavor never stops. Just wish the ABV was a bit higher for the price. Great IPA.
