3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber - Iíve had a few of the single hop variations of this beer, so I figured it was time I tried the original - pours lightly hazy gold with a soapy lace - aroma is very citric and piney, highly resinous - a lot of garlicky hop notes that are kind of unpleasant - low carbonation - medium body - hop flavors are mostly garlicky and cheesy - bitterness is kind of abrasive - pretty acidic finish, but some balancing sweetness comes in - bitter grapefruit finish - meh.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber--well, hello Utah! Iíve had a beer at a brewpub in SLC, but that was before ratebeer, so this is my first Utah rating. Very orange looking beer with a good size head that sticks around and leaves lot as of lace. The aroma isnít overwhelming hops, but still very satisfying, mostly pine with some toffee, maybe grapefruit. Taste is hoppy, but muted along with a decent amount of hops and soft fruit. Sticky mouthfeel with slight bitterness. Nicely balanced. Appalachian Vinter.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the Denver taproom. Golden, orange and clear with a white head. Fresh aroma of tropical/cirus hops, pine, floral and resin. Similar flavor, bitter and lingering with a light malty backbone (toast/bread and caramel/toffee). Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good stuff.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this on Nitro draft. Think it might be better on regular draft as the carb ended up a little soft. Big dank aroma. Flavor is nicely balanced with a bitter somewhat astringent finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
nitro tap - This one has a surprisingly mild hop led aroma. The nitro gives it a dense, long lasting head. The flavor is bitter as one would expect but not hugely so. Itís actually pretty balanced. Thereís a medium body and a smooth palate thatís followed up with an enduring bitterness in the finish. Itís good but I expected more from an IIPA as I love the style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
651 ml. bottle. Release #67. 8.4% ABV. Pours a thick, well retained ivory head, with extensive and heavy lacing, over a hazy amber (SRM 12) body, multiple particles on the finish of pour....nose is pine, resin, grapefruit peel, hints of toffee/caramel, minimal esters.....taste is sweet with light toffee/caramel tones, big pine, resin grapefruit, finishing with a lingering moderate bitterness.....mouth feel thick, slightly chewy, sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation low, with light acid. This is hop dominated, but the malt sweetness really comes through to balance back. The net of it, considering the forces used, is a remarkably straight forward beer with the heavy malt sweetness balancing the highly bitter but simple in aroma and flavor hops. The bottle was probably poorly handled. BJCP 7/1/14/4/6
