Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of nimleprop. Pours golden with a slight haze and a white head. Sharp citric hop aroma. Medium body, a little sweet fruit and sharp bitter aroma hops. Really seriously bitter. 220312

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/20/12

Aroma: Juicy (orange, peach, and other citrus fruits) aroma, with some grass, earth, and spice
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy orange color, with a small fizzy white head and streaky lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, with lots of juicy citrus, and a light-medium bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, with a fairly smooth and creamy feel, and a clean (lightly dry) finish
Overall Impression: This one was very solid for a sweet DIPA. It felt a little lacking on the hop-bitterness side of the style in my opinion, but I still enjoyed it. The bitterness isn’t completely missing by any means, it comes through it the lightly dry finish, but it is quite a bit less bitter then many other beers in this style. If you are a fan of balanced (leaning sweet) DIPAs with a lot of citrus, this is definitely a good beer for you.

Got this one on a recommendation at Total Wine. Good taste and balance. The bitterness was not overly astringent...which I like. The nose lacking the nice floral aroma that I want in a top IPA. I would definitely buy this again but not go out off my way looking for it.

Bottle (batch 30). Head is initially large, frothy/creamy, white, fully lasting. Body is medium to dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), with light notes of dried pineapple and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Overall pretty decent. The aroma is mostly straightforward and ordinary with resinous/green hop odor and not much else, but in the mouth it offers good balance...non-abrasive but suitably bitter. Nice creamy mouthfeel as well. Not something I’d ever buy again as I’m not that fond of one-dimensional resinous IPAs, but for this kind of thing it’s pretty solid.

Tasted from a 22 oz bottle brought back from Utah. Smells very malty. Has a very bitter hop profile with minimal aroma. Nice carbonation, lacing and color. Taste and overall are not quite their. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drank this while watching the mayhem in the movie Drive. For an IPA, the aroma was only so-so. Taste was fine. Piney hop notes. But not much else. Good balance of malt to hop. Overall, OK but not wow worthy.

Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of grapefruit and pnr with some caramel malts. Bitter grapefruit rind flavor with some pine and malt sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation. Very nice! Thanks Dallas.

Bomber from Brewforia. Pours light amber with a creamy light beige head. Aromas of fruit, resin and light caramel. Full bodied. Flavor is resin, fruit, light citrus, and a firm caramel backbone. In the end some grapefruit rind definitely is left. Very nice drink.

Pours a cloudy golden body with a thin, persistent white head. Big citrus flavor, oranges with a floral, dry finish. Nice lacing. A good IPA.
