3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Pourhouse in Westmont, NJ. Pours a light amber that settles to a hazy light orange with a thin khaki head. Mild citrusy hop aroma. Toasted malt a bit more forward in the flavor than expected but plenty of piney, citrusy hops as well. Caramel, orange marmalade and milk chocolate play supporting roles. Pleasingly sticky texture and a bitter, dry, hoppy finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle from Triangle Wine company. release # 24. which was brewed on 7/5/11 by thier website. good aroma, sweet. citrus, orange, grapefruit, apricot. bit of wet cardboard. Clean golden orange color, ok head, minor lace. Bitter sweet flavor. medium body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. it’s good, has a touch of age in the aroma, where I say wet cardboard. more of grapefruit in the flavor, kind of boozy too. not bad, now if I can catch a fresher bottle...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle from Root Cellar. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small, fluffy, eggshell white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, grass, pale malts, and a little pine. Flavor of citrusy and piney hops, sweet and pale malts, straw, and grass. Pretty simple, but nice. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a balanced malty and bitter mouthfeel. Nice DIPA, and wish I had more imagination to do it justice with a more interesting rating.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Hazy yellow gold, thick creamy head that leaves rings of lace. Aroma is hop-intense, herbal and piney, more grassy/vegetal than fruity. Full bodied, oily, lots of resinous bitter hop juice. Fantastic!

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very pale and hazy. Great thick and sustained white head Some gooseberry adds a real zing to the hop aroma. A well judged bitterness fills the mouth and leaves a lightly acetone finish which I judge to be the only real downside here. Sticky in texture and hot on the booze.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I have had both bottle and draft...and let me say there was quite a difference between the two. I recently drank a 22oz and fell in love this beer! Nice Hoppy taste. Bitterness Galore! Over the weekend I went to a local Brewpub and they had a guest handle of Epic Hopulent. My eyes lit up! However, I was disappointed with the draft. No hop presence, mild in flavor, lacked bitterness. I would say for this rare occasion the bottle was better than draft, and for that my rating reflects my experience between the two.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 oz bomber of yet another super overrated beer from Epic. Don’t get me wrong I like a lot of the beers I’ve had from these guys but the last two....geez what’s up? Poured a good looking clear orange body with a smaller mostly white foamy head. Aroma of harsh citrus rind, dust, leon zest, dried out hops, super well done overly dry toast. Meium body that is super dry on the swallow and finish with average carbonation. Flavor much like the aroma with lots or super dry citrus and overly done toast. Harsh and bitter this is not a good DIPA.
