3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle. Appearance is a hazy gold with a thick cap of white foam. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Taste is buttery and overly sweet. Too rich of a beer in my opinion.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Gription79...thanks Dallas! Release #23 - Pours lightly hazy amber with a huge, foamy off-white head. Melon, citrus, and pine on the nose with a fruity malt base. A touch of alcohol, and some pretty oniony hops rear their head as this warms up a bit. I donít mind those onion hops though--they remind me of New Glarus Thumbprint IIPA. The taste is more hop-dominant, with the malt fading into the background and the alcohol being more present. The onion hops are still present, and the grassiness really hits on the finish. It pretty sharp and hot. I expect some of that in a DIPA, but thereís a little too much of it. Carbonation is pretty nice, and itís big, full-bodied and slick. Pretty good, but I just wish the hops were a little less oniony and hot in the taste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Release #23, 8.6% abv. Bottle from Gription79. Thanks! This pours an orange color with a lasting thick fluffy head on top. Good lacing. This has a nice citrus hop aroma. Some mango, grapefruit, and lemon, along with a little dough for the malt. A slick caramel malty body supports a strong citrus hop profile. Picking up pineapple here along with some of the tropical fruit from the aroma. Sticky pine and a leafy note works there way in there as this warms up a bit. Very sharp and bitter in the finish with lots of lingering hop oil. I thought this might be pretty good but itís excellent.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours with halloween orange tint and not much head. Bits of yeast floating around the mixture. A hint of hop flavor on the tongue that comes off as artificial. Slight amount of citrusy hop flavor. The finish is flat on the tongue without a lot of bitterness. Just kind of lays there.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A new brewery available in Ohio, my first beer from Epic Brewing. This might be my new favorite easy-to-find double IPA. Huge white, fluffy, head. Aroma bursting with hops. Flavor is all around intense. Fruity hops with heavy malts... ends in a bitter, long lasting finish. Palate is extremely soft and smooth with a full body. An excellent double IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This poured a semi cloudy orange color with a beige head. Aroma was citrusy hops with some caramel malt and light yeast. Flavor was a little less bitter than expecting,, some citrusy hops but more on the malty side. Alcohol is there a bit too. OK.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(Release #13; 8.6% ABV) This starts off with an amazingly delicious hop aroma, with strong pine notes. Pours a clear light amber, with a full white head that leaves good lacing on the sides of the glass. Nice balance, even with the strong hop presence. Thereís a nice blast of hops, then it fades to showcase the malts, and finishes with a long bitter finish. This is a good IIPA, and Iím glad that Epic made it to Cleveland.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of strong caramel, hops, pineapple, pine, sugars and a touch of floral notes. Full-bodied; Syrupy, resiny hop flavour with a ton of pine and pineapple, a lot of grassy notes and a touch of light earthiness. Aftertaste shows a deep pungent hoppiness with the pine and pineapple notes coming through with a ton of alcohol and a lot of warmth from that. Overall, a nice and strong Imperial IPA that is a bit lighter than I thought from drinking (8,5% abv). I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 04-July-2011 for US$5.99 sampled at home home in Manassas, Virginia on 05-August-2011.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber thanks to Bigmmartin, thanks Mike! Pours an unclear orange/golden with a decent white head and spotty lacing through out the glass, the aroma is full of citrus, mango and grass notes, the flavor is just as impressive, starts with a nice fruity citrus touch and finishes with a perfect amount of bitterness, I didnít know what to expect from this one but I was very surprised and happy with it.
