COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Draft. Golden body with a frothy white head, lasting. Aroma of citrus, resin, grapefruit, pineapple. Note or orange peel. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/soft bubbly texture, lively carbonation. A bit one dimensional, but easy drinking with a nice mouthfeel.

Lots of citrus. Pours golden with decent lacing but not much head. Lots of pine here too. Pretty bitter finish. Some sweet malt. Tap at Galaxy hut.

Nitro on tap at Hopcat Detroit. Aroma is hops, sweet fruit and pine. Appearance is hazy golden, white head. Taste is great, a nice balance of sweet fruit and bitter pine. The nitro may enhance this. Mouthfeel is great, thick nitro pours are wonderful. Overall, an impressive brew.

Pours a clear gold with plenty of foam that lasts and does well with the lacing. The smell is is a mix of caramel malt and grain with the hops well represent by pine. Even Steven on the first few sips between the malt and hops but I notice the alcohol kick more. The malt is sweet but also has a grain like character to it. The hops have pine but to me, it has more of an aspirin like bitterness. Close to full bodied with medium carbonation. This is decent but a rather difficult beer to drink not only taste wise but because the alcohol is intrusive. I am not likely to revisit.

1.6 ounce bottle pours cloudy gold with 1" white head. Taste of pine, grapefruitand a little sweetness. Good beer, but at 62 IBU exceeds my bitterness threshold. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, at the pig, DC. It pours a hazy orange colored body under a creamy, finger thick off-white head. Lacing. The aroma is mostly resiny and piney, with grapefruit and a malty touch. It’s full bodied, lightly warming and pleasantly carbonated. Quite bitter. Grapefruit, resin and pine cones. Lasting finish. Not of the quenching kind, but it’s a nice and tasteful one. 150619

Lightly clouded orange with a tan head. Light citrus, honey, heavier pine resin. Very bitter, offset by substantial sweetness. Medium body, some chewiness, some light oiliness, good amount of alcohol heat. Pretty good.
