Aroma of lots of pine and resin. Taste is very piney, dry, lots and lots of hops. Some citrus, and a nice alcohol warming. Very good!

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
One of the best Epic beers. Malty IPA, a bit bitter, nice lacing. The head was fluffy, the beer a bit clouded. Love the brewery, wish the beer was a bit better.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper colored pour lots of viz carbonation and tons of participate underneath a thick well standing well laced off white head. Well balanced aroma mix of a fair amount of caramel sweetness and hops, hops are slightly fruity with some grass in there. Flavor is sweet a touch of spicy hops in the front and a nice medium bitterness in the finish. Average palate. Overall a nice IPA.

Release #92, 8.8% abv. Firm marshmallow foam floats atop hazy trafficlight yellow ale. Tenuous scents of orange, grapefruit, mango, pine, peach… traces of rum-raisin, yeast and marzipan. Brawny buttery pilsner malt taste, hot plastic, suggestions of sunflower seeds and sawdust, punctuated by grassy, ashy hops. Fleshy mouthfeel falls between creamy and glutinous. Staggeringly bitter/fruity finish linked with sourmash. Becomes sweeter with warming (and mass suicide of my tormented tastebuds) and hence, less detestable... but by the end of the bomber I identify traces of chives and cheez whiz, and a tinny/fishy innuendo. The reluctant aroma, acrid tang taste, and bulldozer bitterness are an absolute mess hopwise. An ale fraught with pitfalls, and I struggled to finish the full 22 ounces.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The aroma is like I just opened a package of hops. Light amber color with a nice head. You can certainly get the initial bitter hit with the hops, and there is a bitter finish, but it does not linger and is not an overpowering bitterness. I would get this again.

Overall a dud. Unfortunately, I’m looking at the release date now, (a friend brought this for me) and it was packaged back in November? Geesh! Get this stuff off the shelves, people!
In this state, it’s an orange, hazy brew with a soft white head and malty, rough, with barely enough hops to get through the olfactory senses.
I’m hoping to find a fresher bottle to rate at a later time, but for now, I’m not giving it much of a fanfare.
