COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopulent IPA is a big beer with lots of complex malt flavor and excessive hops. This beer will have changes to the grain bill and seasonal hop changes. The character of Hopulent IPA is over the top, too much of everything—a real HOP HEADS DELIGHT!

Pours a dark copper color with huge aromas of hops, citrus, piney resin and malt. The flavor is great hoppy in your face up front but balanced very well with some nice roasted malt background. A very smooth easy drinking IPA that fits the double hop style. The alcohol is there for sure at 8%+ but is not hot at all.

This draft brew on nitro tap from a restaurant poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated transparent light yellow orange colored body and a creamy thick lacing. . The smooth crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The smooth flavor contained notes of oak dry breads and hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Tap at Sweet Peas. Hazy apricot with thin white lacing medium lacing. Caramel, tangerine, floral and grassy. Big sweetness with an equally bitter tangerine/melon aftertaste. Heavier body with a soapy feel.

Pours a hazy amber color with a nice head. Aroma has mostly tropical fruit with some lemon zest. Taste has some hops upfront then some tropical fruit and malts in the finish. Quick finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold with a off-white, mixed-grain, sticky and lacy head. Nose is lime, grapefruit, rose, and rosemary; quite pungent. Quite bitter on the front of the tongue, wlth lime and orange notes; there’s enough caramel malt to hold a balanced line, though, and the mouthfeel is quite soft and alluring. A little hot in the back of the throat. Finish is astringent and bitter, with a clean bite. A nice blend of aggressive and balanced.

On tap at Mr. Brews in Verona, WI, on nitro. I find the nitro makes beer almost too smooth and ruins the aroma somehow, but this is still good. Hazy copper, nice white head, floral aroma, yadda yadda yadda.

22oz in Seattle as ’Release 98, 8.7%’ so not the freshest I’m afraid, will try this again. Slight darker orange with nice creamy foam. Deep citrus hops, but a very strong malt backbone as well. Quite sweet too. I imagine this is better fresh.

Nitro tap at mellow mushroom. Color is way pale. Nose is hop. Nitro isn't the best for this as it smooths it out too much. Sweet but good balance. Not amazing but wouldn't throw out. Better than average.

Bomber. Pours a slightly veiled amber-golden with a short lived white head. Aroma is grapefruit, orange, lemon, caramel, brown sugar, grass. Flavor is orange, grapefruit, caramel, bubble gum. Finish is grapefruit, resin, pine, bitter. Lingering grapefruit and pine tree. Medium body, soft mouthfeel, average carbonation.
