COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is very popular! Extremely complex and strong at 7.1% ABV. This beer is well balanced between the caramel-malt driven profile and the dry, supporting hops. Look for hints of dark bread and a slight fig or raisin taste all backed by a strong resin, but not overwhelming hop presence.

On tap at Coedo Taproom at Causeway Bay HK. Appearance: Pours a dark red colour with thin to medium tan head. Aroma: Resin, pine, dark fruits, roasted caramel malt, blackcurrant and some floral notes. Taste: Medium roasted malt and hop bitterness. Taste of resin and dark fruits with some subtle creamy and vanilla sweetness. Palate: Medium to full body. Creamy and smooth texture with bitter roasted malt and dark fruit aftertaste. Overall: A balanced red ale that has pronounce and rich resin, dark fruits and roasted malt character. A little bit feels like a lighter version of barleywine.

Det här var en rätt juste öl, smaken var dovt fruktig med lite lätt jordiga inslag. Kroppen var okej och balansen likaså, inte dåligt på en öl vars bäst före datum gick ut för tre år sedan.

release 45 @ 8.6% from Beermongers. First taste is “double IPA” then the malt comes on—dank, with a sharp piercing bitterness, leather, alcohol, toffee. Aromatically lime, caramel, leather and mint. tan head, darkish amber clear body. Balanced, active, warming finish.

Poured from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy, reddish brown with a small khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of toast, caramel, dried fruit and pine. Taste of herbal spices, toffee, toasted malt, plums, currants, graham crackers, dried fruit and pine. Complex and interesting. Medium/full body and high/medium carbonization.
