COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is very popular! Extremely complex and strong at 7.1% ABV. This beer is well balanced between the caramel-malt driven profile and the dry, supporting hops. Look for hints of dark bread and a slight fig or raisin taste all backed by a strong resin, but not overwhelming hop presence.

Draft sample at Epic Brewing taproom, Denver. Pours hazy amber with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, pine, resinous hops, caramel, ripe fruits and toffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Nice brew!

Tap @ the brewery tap room. Pours a clear reddish brew with a small off white head on top. Aroma is very malty, caramel and some fresh barley. Flavour is medium bitter, nutty, and big on dry grapefruit flavors. Nice, easy going, hoppy and malty brew.

Bottle from Utah Liquor Store. Pours amber with an inch of khaki foam. Leaves a lot of lacing. Fairly hop forward on the nose and tongue. Finish lingers a bit. Feels unbalanced to me. Not my favorite from Epic.

Not normally a fan of red ales, but this one is awesome! So good I have brewed ~30 gallons myself and the original and clone version is great. Strong, but now overwhelming hops, great color and palate. The entire package is unforgettable! Epic has many great offerings, this is among their best.

Release #20, 8.7% ABV. Bottled Oct. 2012. Pours a deep cloudy ruby with a thick khaki-toffee head that settles to a ring and leaves some spotty lace. nose involves big toffee and caramel malt notes, some nice pine, spice and herbal hops, a suggestion of smoke, some dark cherry and plum fruit notes. Quite sweet flavor, but also fairly bitter, nicely balanced. Fuller side of medium bodied, creamy, active, vibrant yet slick and oily, juicy, with a lengthy drying herbal bitter finish. Really awesome brew, considering it was pushing toward a year old, it rounded out nicely and the hops still played a prominent role. Loved it.

Pours dark reddish brown with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet bready malt. Taste is sweet bread and caramel malt upfront that fades into sweet floral hoppiness. Aftertaste is lingering sweet bread malt and a touch of mild hop bitterness and some roasty notes. Palate is medium with some stickiness. Overall a very nice American Strong Ale heavy on the malt with some light hoppiness for balance.

Release #22; 8.8%. Bomber from Malt and Vine. Pours hazy, dark ruddy amber with a creamy/foamy yellowish beige head. Aroma is malty with a lot of resin. Full bodied. Foamy carb. Flavor is very roasted malt with lots of resin, some darkish fruit, and maybe a hint of chocolate. Pretty hoppy. Bitter. Finishing drier than not, but the malt is always present. Quite a drink.

0,65 l bomber, release #13, 7,5% abv.
Poured hazy deep ruby with a delicious tan creamy head. Aroma of floral green fields, pine forest, some earthy cocoa, honey, caramel. Oily body, caramel and light cocoa opens the flavor, some miliseconds and the piney, resinous hopcones arrive on the balanced sweetness. Bittersweet, complex, fruity aftertaste. Reallyreally fine

Oiu of the bottle it featured a wonderful hoppy aroma and a hint of darker malts. A nicely balanced taste with a slightly lingering and oversweet finish

Hazy deep amber - red beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft and airy. Mild super fine carbonation. Luxuriant creamy malt with a nice touch of dark toffee. Well balanced with rich marmalade and pine hops. A little fresh orange in there as well. Smooth finish with more malt cream. Nice beer!
