3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JohnnyJ (3044) - San Diego, USA - DEC 21, 2010
22 oz bottle, thanks to footbalm. 2nd Release, 7.8% abv. Reddish muddy brown pour, off-white caramel colored head. The sweet caramel malts dominate this brew, with fruit and bitter, herbal hops around the edges. I agree, this is light barleywinish, I would have it as an ASA.

2 June 2012, bottle. Med brown and faintly cloudy. Nose is alcohol and wet brown bread and copper malt. Nice but soft. Med body and a bit fizzy. Big alcohol, some raisins. Very nice.

Good level of hops with a nice sweet finish. Pretty good bottle of beer. Abv is just right. You could drink a couple of these and have a god night.

Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Release #15. Pours cloudy dark copper color with tan head. Aromas of citrus, pine, and caramel. Big pine flavor with sweet caramel, toasted malts, and some bread. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Dallas.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Butters (3014) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 21, 2012
Sampled at Slutfest 3. Clear amber pour with khaki head ring. Sweet caramel and woody hops with a bit of a sweet spicy character. No alcohol burning. Pretty decent actually.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Glouglouburp (4783) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 11, 2012
In short: Scented candies and herbal/grassy hops clash in this mess of a beer. Meh.
How: Bottle 22oz, release #8, latest release, 8.1%, consumed relatively fresh a few weeks after receiving it from TURDFERGUSON, thanks a lot Sam
The look: Cloudy murky dark red body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is perfumy herbal hops resembling air fresheners fragrance and also scented candies. Taste of red and purple jelly beans, hard-candies with artificial fruit flavors, cranberries, dried fruits, herbal hops and grassy hops. Overall pretty messy, this really felt amateurish. I once had a good beer from this brewery but this is the third major disappointment in a row after the awful Apple Saison and the lame and the lame Copper Cone Pale Ale. This is the third disappointing Epic ales in a row for me, I don’t get this brewery at all, but I’m an optimistic pessimist, I’m really look forward to a fourth bad Epic beer in a row.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ughsmash (5836) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - APR 3, 2012
Bomber, release #7. Poured clear fiery garnet with a medium-tall, well-retained khaki head. The aroma picked up soft biscuit and bready malts topped by fresh pine, orange, and herbal hoppage.. well-balanced. The flavor found mostly biscuity malt at the core, along with touches of golden raisin and raw molasses.. a tad sharp and bitter on the long, grainy finish.. not bad, but not entirely my thing. Medium-bodied and increasingly bitter as it warmed up.. OK feel and flow.. solid brew.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 Jakeyb (11) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - APR 3, 2012
Great fluffy head. Muddy brown color with hints of red. Perfect amount of carbonation. VERY well balanced. Sweet and caramel start with a piny, clean finish. Not too hoppy but you can definitely feel its presence (along with the hefty 8% ABV!). Overall, I'm just freakin impressed with this beer, and can't wait to try more from this brewery!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Syzzer (307) - Oregon, USA - MAR 30, 2012
This is a really good red ale. It has solid hops that are not too bitter. Slightly more hop body than malt. Brown in color with nice tan head. 9.1 joek, 9.1-bd
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 portableparty (1190) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - MAR 26, 2012
22 oz. bottle release #15. Pours dark red brown with a tight soapy khaki head that slowly fades to a spotty film and creamy collar. Aroma is resinous hops and earthy caramel malt all mixed up with some candied sugar. Taste is good and bitter resinous hops that come off like spruce and pine with a well mix of sweet burnt caramel malt and finishes slightly warming. Palate is slick and sticky all at the same time with a chalky dry warming finish. Really enjoyed this one!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gription79 (777) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - FEB 29, 2012
22 ounce bottle.
Aroma: toffee, resin/citrus/pine hops, sweet breads
Appearance: muddy brown with red hues, off white head
Taste: huge hop flavors-citrus,pine, some toffee, toasted malts
Palate: medium bodied, a little sticky, on the sweeter side
Overall: this was bottle release #15 @ 7.5%, the alcohol was well hidden, fairly easy to drink, not a bad beer
