"Wish lister - Holy frikkin frik! Iíve liked Epic, but the only beer thatís blown me away from them was Big Bad Baptist. I got this to have side by side, hoping it was the base for BBB. I think it was. Lots of similarities, though without the coffee and bourbon. Big and chewy, classic imperial stout flavors...chocolate, roasted malt and coffee, anise, big fudgy aroma. Really really good brew - didnít want the bottle to end, but we did have a BBB imediately after, so I took it rather well."

Bottle from Total Wine. Black pour, thin off-white head. Aroma is quite roasty, some ash, chocolate, caramel, licorice and a bit burnt. Flavor is quite bitter, roasted and rough. A bit harsh but with a huge body and well balanced.

A very nice stout. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells of vanilla, a bit of coconut and coffee. Taste has lots of vanilla upfront, with a nice slightly bitter finish. Nice and complex. Had on tap at the brewery.
