Release #11. 10.3% ABV. Bomber from Beverages for Less in Santee, CA. Fred’s the man! Pours extremely dark brown/black with an extremely dark tan head. Aroma has lots of treacle and burnt malt. Full bodied. Flavor is smooth burnt malt, chocolate, treacle, touch of heat, and bitter! Finishes all that way. Mouth smacking finish. Very impressive.

hopscotch (8783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Bottle… Dark brown ale with a tiny, creamy, beige head. Good retention. The aroma offers a concoction of soy sauce, singed espresso, caramel and unsweetened dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and nearly expired carbonation. The flavor leans way bitter, offering burnt malt and acrid, carbonaceous charcoal. Finishes scorched and bitter, leaving an aftertaste of spent espresso grounds. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

GT2 (8176) - San Diego County, California, USA - MAY 19, 2011
651mL thanks to tastybeer. The pour is a clear, deep mahogany looking fairly black in the glass. A large, deep cocoa head slowly towers high and settles eventually with nice webby lace. Nose on this one is raisin, prune, sugar, ash, mild chili and DMS. As it warms it gains oxidized apple slices and acetaldehyde. Taste up front is bitter and bland, then moves to total cigarette ash and powder/dirt. Long, bitter, earthy finish.
