Imagine a world without flavour. It’d be almost as bad as a world without beer. Well you’re in luck. This lager is literally bursting with hop-fueled taste. It’s been created by people inspired and obsessed with keeping the flame alive. Enjoy our handiwork.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of lager yeast and noble hops. Poured yellow/gold in color with a large, creamy, dense, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is slightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of lager year, malt, grain, water, slight corn, and noble hops. Light to medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Lager yeast, water, corn, and noble hop finish.

Bottle. Pours a weak, watered- down yellow with a nose of aspartame and peach with a light oily hops presence. Flavor is orange hops with a touch of earthy malt sweetened by a light peach. Average mouthfeel. Good lawnmower beer, I’m sure.

Gold pour. Malt, light hops, slightly herbal and sweet. Good for what it is, but not the interesting.

Another long distance for a beer to arrive at my mouth. Nice lager but not much better than a Yuengling. Pours a clear yellow with a mild bread and malt aroma. The flavor has the malt and bread of a lager with a nice hop balance. Not bad but not worth the money.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2012 500ml bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a crystal clear straw colour with a two finger white head that quickly dissapears. Aroma is fairly average. Hay, earth, citrus. Flavour is bursting with citrus and honey. Palate is thin. Easy drinkability. Not bad for a quaffer

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2008 Bottle, pouring a clear light gold with a large white foamy head. Hoppy aroma with grass and citrus - similar to that of its big brother. A dry hoppy palate with earthy malt. A little bland when it comes to flavour, though I guess that it is being honest to the style.

Decent enough lager, but confusingly conservative compared to other beers in the range. Nice and clear with moderate carbonation. Straw coloured. Malt and hop flavours subdued, nothing standing out. Average.

330ml bottle. Deep crown of loosely packed white foam from the initial pour. Bright golden amber colour and the aroma is fairly light but it does pack some citrus hop aromas. Flavour is smooth and mellow and quite light on the palate. Finishes cleanly with but does not really stand out.

An odd one, this one. Likely brewed as a lager to introduce New Zealand’s infamously unadventurous beer drinking public to something with a bit more character. But its also from Epic; who love their hops. So you end up with a light lager mouthfeel and sweetness but a rough hop edge. The flavours don’t quite meld unfortunately.
