Crystal clear pour of light straw. Aromatics leap out of the glass- fruits and grass. Tastes much like an Epic beer! Upfront hops with that classic Epic flavour... slightly oily and long on the finish with some heat hanging around, which is a bummer. I like it though wish it was cheaper!

Very pale straw, clear in the glass. Tastes quite ílightí was my initial impression, you sure dont notice the 8.5% part! balanced, not overly hoppy I thought - was expecting more from you, Epic - but then this is the first imp pils Iíve ever had, maybe this is the style. I like the hop-malt balance, although the fruity hops get through in the end to round it out quite nicely

I could not believe this, $4 at warners, such a fantastic price. The beer was solid, good nose and appearance. The taste is gentle, a hint of passionfruit and citrus. I really enjoyed this! However, I would not pay A$18, a little steep.

Clear golden colour and tight white head. Grassy, citrus and sweet berry aromas. Some grain and herbal character. Quite bitter, heavy and full bodied with a boozy lengthy finish.

clear colour, golden colour. aromas are tropical fruit, some hoppy note, very nice considering itís a pils. somewhat nutty and malted. big bitter notes, very boozy burn, dry hopped bitterness flavour, which i find weird. finishes slightly malted. it is almost salty!. strange but interesting.

Bottle from Corti Brothers, Sacramento. Pours yellow with a fluffy off-white head and a banana and toffee aroma. There is a hearty, slightly harsh pale malt flavor with a dry bitter finish.

500ml bottle at home. Appearance of a bright golden body with loose average-sized white head. Honey malts on the nose with herbal and grassy notes and a hint of alcohol. Some tropical fruity elements in there as well (eg. pineapple, rambutan). The smooth malt bill reminded me of a Duvel golden ale but this one has less complex hopping. Finishes with a moderate dry bitterness that lingers. Remarkably light bodied for the ABV. It is a good brew but pricy in Australia at almost $18 a bottle.

A big cold pint that I had to let sit to warm so I could smell it. Lovely golden colour with a white head that left in short order. Aromas tend toward big alcohols, dry hops, gooseberry , grassy dryness and greengages. The flavours attack in a rush of green fruits and then it dries becoming astringent until it offers up a lovely malty richness. An Imperial Pilsener. This made me think a bit as to the purpose of an Imperial Pilsener. Iím not having a go at the brewers as it is a laudable thing to explore styles and techniques, I wish more breweries would. But if Iím off to the pub for a couple of pints, do I have one or two of these and blow my head off or do I have three or four pints of other beers (Epic included) and wander home in a state of mildly blissful fuddlement? When I think of an Imperial tag, I think of a beer to end the night on - a porter, stout or barley wine. But this is a big cold pint and probably better suited to earlier drinking... but is it? Damn it. I wish I had better self-control.

500ml bottle. Clear golden pour with white head that doesnít really last. Smells of marshmallow, citrusy hops. Light on the palate with a big hoppiness that seems oddly out of place. Fairly bitter but so very light in body. Burns a little. An interesting attempt.
