We have set out to wilfully maim and cripple the palates of the most extreme hop head. This act of wanton destruction is in the true spirit of what festive brews are about, to create something unique and fun. It is our intention to create a violent and needless disturbance in your olfactory senses. The riotous confusion, from the unnatural quantity of dry hopping, will leave your palate satisfyingly violated after having just one taste. Only the brave can be assured to tame this hop insanity.

0.5l bottle @ BrewDog, Camden. This is a clear caramel-colored one with a nice medium sized light bubbly and heavy lacing off-white head. On the aroma it’s light malty and sweet with hints of fruits and red berries. Smells not extreme, but quite nice. It’s a bit thin in texture, and it’s average carbonated. The flavor is light caramelly - some burned caramel as well and I get a nice hoppy-bitter flavor. Not extreme or anything, but quite tasty. A bit strawberry-sticky towards the finish perhaps? Almost so much that it could have been a barley wine. Tasty indeed. 22.07.2012

A - Pours a clear amber-orange with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, tropical, citrus, and floral hops with some sweet caramel malts. T - Starts off with a mix of grapefruit and other tropical hops, some bitterness, and some sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, some floral and piney hops come through with some more bitterness and some bready malts. The finish is a mix of pineapple, grapefruit, and pine hops with some sweet bready malts. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry and bitter finish. D - Very drinkable. Good hop and malt balance with some good bitterness and body for overall balance.

Bottle from Brewdog online shop. Pours clear dark golden with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Taste is moderate sweet and bodied, with an easy smooth mouthfeel. Fruity hops take over towards the end, moderate bitter tropical fruity hops initially, end is stronger bitter, with a good hoppy bite at the finish, lingering aftertaste. Very good.

Pour is deep amber with big beige head. Aroma is a pleasant pine hoppiness. Flavour is initially hints of apricot and some breadiness before the hops come in and do their business coating the palate with resinous hops. Finish is quite long and enjoyable. Top stuff!!

500ml bottle pours a pale amber orange color with a finger of creamy white head that retains well and leaves some soapy lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and citrus with some light fruits and grains. Taste is bold pine and citrus hop bitterness up front balanced nicely with an underlying malty sweetness. Medium bodied with some good carbonation leaving a nice feeling on the tongue. A pleasing and bold india pale ale that is recommended for a tasting.

Pours a clear and bubbly orange. Nice lacing on the glass. Very sweet on the nose. Methinks some of the hop bite got lost in transport. But if you are in a non west coast hop mode this would really work. Really sticks to the palate without scraping it to death. Getting some orange taste at the very end.

500ml Bottle (from Brewdod.com):
Lots of bitterness upfront along with a sweet pine and strong hops smell. There is also a little vanilla and dark malts but the hops dominate along with a general bittersweet aroma.
Clear amber & a foamy, centimetre thick and foamy white head with good retention.
Hops and pine kick things off here, along with some piney bitterness and a good malt presence. There is a little citrus and some summer fruits along with a lingering bitterness.
Light in body and as mentioned before there is tonnes of hops in this one. The feel is a semi-smooth one with medium carbonation and a lingering bitter finish.

Very hoppy and quite like an IPA is a some nice pine hops and a few malts thrown in for good measure as well. The taste is surprisingly refreshing and nicer than I had imagined.
