Bomber from release #3. Orange color with some small straw yellow highlights. A small white head was present upon pouring, but it quickly faded after a couple of moments. Lightly fruity aroma with some apple juice, caramel, and a nice dose of honey. Taste is light some fruit, toast, with a slight crisp, semi-dry finish. I’m not picking up on any of the nuttiness that this beer supposedly has. Maybe that’s what is missing to me mid-palate.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 ekoerper (555) - Iowa, USA - JUN 13, 2011
Aroma: malty and toasty, touch of caramel, faint hint of chocolate, no hop presence. Pours a somewhat hazy light amber color, thin white head with a couple minutes of retention, leaves decent lacing. Flavor is nice and toasty, biscuit with a hint of chocolate or roast and some caramel. Bitterness is subdued, minimal hop flavors. Medium body, low carbonation, light and smooth on the palate. A very nice, easy drinking beer, and seems to be pretty accurate to style. I think this is spot-on for what the brewers were shooting for.

22oz bomber. Clean and easy. Orange-tan. Oily head. Smooth, clean malt tones, some mellow herbal hop tones. Quite well balanced. Nothing like an English Mild, but a very nice session beer.
