3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Has a caramel nose which is not over the the top for a pale ale but it is the refreshing bitterness of the hops that make it thirst quenching. Drinks really well and is a great session beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.
Looks: Clear amber honeyOne finger head with crumpet off white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Beautiful sticky lacing with active carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant sweet Ale malt, with fresh grapefruit, lychee, apricots, strong floral, honey, molasses, light pine, lemon and strong fresh grass.
Taste: Medium sweet full Ale malt, with strong caramel, grapefruits, strong floral, pine, light resins, biscuits, spices, lemon, lime, strong bitter hops and sharp grass.
Body: Mid to light body. Slick and slightly oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Rich Ale maltyness in a solid background. Strong Crystal’s caramel followed by good dose of Cascades - grapefruits, flower, pine, light ooze and strong spices. Moderate sweetness and dryness. Good lemony lime to round. Very good!
Hoppiness: Grapefruits, lychee, apricots, strong floral, light pine, lemon and fresh grass in nose. Citrus, strong floral, pine, light resins, spices, lemon, lime and sharp grass in taste. Bitterness is strong and sharp for a lasting, quite strong astringent bitter sweet finish.
After Taste: Quite dry. Malty and citrusy-bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one has a solid, caramel-laced malty Ale base to start, and Cascade niceness is most evident in the fresh fruity and grassy aromas, while the hop taste is firm but lack dimensions. Its APA I know, but if a feel more different C hops got into the mix, this one could explode and be right up there. Still a very refreshing one to enjoy!

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A wonderful burnt orange colour with a thin but steadfast ivory head. Melon on the nose and a sweet biscuity malt aroma. Nice and hoppy, pine and grass flavours - sweet toffee to help balance it. Medium to light body, nice and crisp finish with good carbonation.

Poured from bottle. Answer in color with a large head. Slight fruity aroma and purely hoppy taste resembling cardboard

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
resiny and hoppy despite the fact that I don’t think this is very fresh. Seems older than the ipa and lager with hints of cardboard. Still pretty good, which keeps me curious...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught @ Beer Deluxe, Melbourne
Pale copper beer, creamy white head.
Hoppy nose; melon, papaya, citrus, nice touch of light caramel biscuity malt.
Med-full body, moderate carbonation, some sticky resiny texture there.
Plenty to enjoy here - tropical fruity, fragrant hops, backed up by biscuity toasty malts. Bitterness somewhat restrained, hops seem to accentuate malt sweetness.
What you would come to expect from a good NZPA - good stuff!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Light bodied example of an excellent pale ale. Citrus and spice forward floral hoppiness that opens into a moderately bitter palate. A great example. Highly recommend, this is the beer that got me into craft beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On keg at the Bow Bar.
Appearance - not particularly pale. More a deep amber. Decent head.
Nose - a bit elusive. Citrus and pine. Resin. Dried fruits.
Taste - toffee and red fruits. Definitely raisins on the end.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - tastes stronger and more complex than the ABV. It’s hard to put this in the pale ale category.
