The huge hoppy resin and bitterness is balanced by a sweet fruit undertone; followed by an astringent finish that leaves you lip-smacking for the next sip. Very nice. bendybenbeer (26), Australia

Could happily just sit and sniff the beer...Appearance is great...Lovely light amber colour with a long lasting head. Taste, just great. Little bit of malt, with really lovely, lingering hoppy mid palate, and it really lingers too. For me, just a fraction too thin on the palate though, but that;s just me being picky... Bloody lovely drop... Just need someone here in Oz to make something similar for a lower price... creative_free (29), Wellington, New Zealand
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2010 Nice aroma filled with hops. Golden amber colour with a nice big head that lasts. Taste is very hoppy, not much in the way of malts and has a nice bitter finish. Solid IPA. hawthorne00 (236), Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Light copper, cream head. Big dry lemon zest and grapefruit nose. Medium bodied, a little chewy. Complex fruity malts are quite sufficient to balance the hops. A touch of Moroccan preserved lemon at the end. The aroma suggests its going to be just hops, but this has a bit more about it than that. It’s very good, but the parts don’t quite fit together for mine. Threepwood (31), Australia

Aroma shows lots of fruit, grassy, and resiny hops. Grapefruit, orange blossom, nectarines. Behind this is a fair bit of sweet malt and caramel.
Very hoppy taste, but with less sweet fruits. There’s still some grapefruit, grassy notes and peaches, followed by some sweet clean malt. Then a strong bitterness rolls through, growing bigger and bigger. However it is exceptionally well-balanced by the afore-mentioned malt.
Good medium body with a light, but refreshing, carbonation.

Less hoppy on the palate but still quite crisp. Firm mouthfeel. Very tasty stuff. Seemed to have a stronger aroma than the cask version.
