COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. That’s where we can help. Because at Epic we’re obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

Tasted 7/2/2014. BB 22 11 14. Poured a clear golden brown colour with a one-finger off-white head that diminished quickly to a collar that produced no lace. Carbonation very low with rare small to medium bubbles. Aroma nice fresh floral hops and not much else. Taste dominated by hops over anything else that may be present. Medium body. A long but nice and moderate bitterness on the finish. Quite nice.

Bottle. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is mainly citric with some piney tones. Clear, copper coloured beer with a slight, off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, light toasty, citric. Very refreshing and nice clean.

sm89walt (1766) - Northern Beaches, Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2013
500ml bottle. A slightly hazy deep amber with a small, slowly facing off-white head. Hop flowers, pine, resin, grapefruit and pithy lemon with modest sweetness comprised of biscuit, nutty malt and caramel. Light to medium body, firm and crisp palate texture with medium effervescence and a lingering dry, hoppy finish of decent length. Immensely drinkable and brimful of powerful flavours without being excessive.

Probably my favourite APA out there, so well balanced and drinkable. Very aromatic and an really well balanced malt body.

The head is good, the body brown and a bit cloudy. It smells very ineresting, parfumed-hoppy, hoparomatic, fruity. The taste is hoppy, fruity, parfumed, interesting and intensive, nice and tasty! Overall a interesting, delicious beer from Auckland! 12/13/12/11/-/12

Deep amber with a red hue. Nice head initially but soon collapses. Fruity tropical aroma. Rich spicy hop and juicy malts. A hint of caramel there and roasty notes. Finishes long hoppy bitter, overall a good beer.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at the High Country Motel in Cooke City MT. Pours a clear amber with a thick off white head. Malty nose. Smooth, attenuated hops. Nice flavor.

A great example of the antipodean take on the style. Nice ’hoppy’ start with the required ’body’ to balance it afterwards. The only problem is that Epic do many other brews and most are even better (if that could be called a problem).

it’s kinda good but nothing in comparison to other epic beers, blandish hops without much malt body. okay.
