UPDATED: SEP 1, 2014 I’m drinking this with fresh bluff oysters accompaniment. Yum. I like this
Pale Ale, it’s smooth, tasty and has a creamy finish, with little bitterness.
Enjoying immensely with the last batch of fresh oysters for this season, compliments them well.

I’d been avoiding this beer, until of course it won a medal in a recent beer awards thing, at which point I thought I was being contrary and picky. Turns out not so much. Although this has a lovely hop aroma and a great colour it is a bit thin and really needs some food to bolster and prop it up. In its favour it is easy drinking and the aroma and bite are always welcome. Finishes towards dry.

A Ponsy New Age Pale Ale type that kiwi brewers have mastered better than most. Complex aroma with fruity ,grassy, citrus notes and more. Well balanced sweet/sour taste that makes me want more. A superb ale.
