Malty, bubbly head with lots of hops aromas. Beautiful beer and first of NZ Sth Island trip. A fine start.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle in hotel from Auckland supermarket
Clear light chestnut amber with lemon and kiwifruit on the nose. Slightly chalky texture with pithy orange bitterness and oatcake malt flavours.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16.9oz bottle, from The Party Source. Clear orange color. Thin khaki head. Fizzes away a bit, but some remains. Decent lace. Medium body, smooth carbonation. More dry finish, Light bitter, light sweet. Some citrus, light resin, little grass, some pine. Caramel and toasty malts. Solid balanced pale ale, though kind of malt-forward right now. Thereís a reasonable chance that this isnít as fresh as it should be..

Thank goodness I can get this beer at the supermarket here in the craft-beer-dry North!! Easy to overlook with all of Epics other "epic" beers, but it really is a great and very drinkable beer. Not so intense that it isnít refreshing after mowing the lawns, but way above the average bland "lawnmower beer".

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500mL bottle, enjoyed immediately after purchase, pours a clear copper / bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma of floral hops predominantly, grass, a bit of citrus and a crackery malt backing. Flavour brings out dry notes of grassy and floral hops, citrus and a substantial crackery / biscuity malt backing. Quite a dry, monolithic palate, with not much character. Iím not sure how fresh this is, as there is no bottle date, but seems it could be fresher. Decent pale ale, but nothing overly interesting.

Very hoppy ale, not the best gateway beer for Tui drinkers, as the hoppiness will probably overpower them (my experience when attempting to bring my bro over to the dark side) but for me I love it! Very summer-drinkable, strong in the mouth with a dry finish.

Heard about the beer from Can You Brew It. Glad to pick it up. Slight floral, bready aroma with subtle grapefruit on the tail end. Tastes of bready, biscuity, slight caramel and balanced with generous amount of hop flavor. Very balanced bitterness. Quite tasty. I'd pick it up again.

This was my xmas pick of the beers. It was a great PA, good hop presence, nicely balanced and finishes well. Lacks the punch of a great PA but very sessionable.

Iím probably being unfair with this beer. I did not get a fresh version of this, in fact, it is no longer distributed to KS and I may have gotten one of the last available in my area. Stale bread, a mild funk, and whatever crispness there may have been in the hops is more or less gone. Would love to try a fresh version of this in the future. Come back to KS!

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wonderful aroma of dessert wine. Now I know what kind of hops gives out this delicious bouquet of ice wine: itís one of the 15. The appearance is nice for a pale ale, coppery, a bit turbid, with a clean, white, persistant head. Flavours of grapes, grapefruit and peach, unfortunately all flatenned on top of each other. The beer loses in complexity. Palate is not too resinous. Great to have, but this would not be the first choice.
