boogey (2), Auckland, New Zealand does not count Jun 4, 2009 bottled and on tap. great citrusy hoppy flavour. palate is quite hoppy but on the dry side. clean bitter finish -perfect for summer and warm winters! well done Luke! DonBirnam (46), Wellington, New Zealand Jun 4, 2009 On tap and from bottle. A deep amber-orange. Has a wonderful citrusy aroma and flavour. orange peel hop dominates. one of my favourite brews and one of the first NZ craft beers I ever tried. I call it "my old friend whom I don’t visit often enough", because I am constantly passing over it in favour of something I haven’t tried before. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 15, 2009 Updated: Apr 20, 2009Bottle at The Spotify tasting. Yes, certainly hoppier than on cask, but it then lacks a bit of body too. Yes it is hoppy and enjoyably but still not living up to its hype. Touch of rose petal flavour. nate2g (1034), Brisbane, Australia Apr 10, 2009 Draught at The Malthouse, Wellington. Golden with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass and pine. The flavour is malt, grapefruit and pine. Good hop bitterness with a slight sweet finish. I enjoyed this beer. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Apr 7, 2009 Big bottle. Pours a dark 18k-golden yellow with a big rocky white head. The aroma is all hops: zesty citrus, perfumey conifer resin. Very hoppy palate, malts are straw-like, reedy. Finish is long and bitter. Very good. Chrism86 (273), Melbourne, Australia Apr 3, 2009 Updated: Jun 28, 2009Pours golden orange with a nice off white head. Nose is absolutely dominated by piney, resinous hops. Palate is much the same with support from some light malt and citrus fruit. Finish is long with medium/high bitterness. This is awesome!! snuffla (95), Chch, New Zealand Mar 28, 2009 Updated: Apr 26, 2009Orange marmalade and resin on the nose. Rich amber colour. Tasty, everything the nose promises and more, clean bitter finish invites another sip.
