Commercial Description:
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. That's where we can help. Because at Epic we're obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

Draught at The Malthouse, Wellington. Golden with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, grass and pine. The flavour is malt, grapefruit and pine. Good hop bitterness with a slight sweet finish. I enjoyed this beer.

Big bottle. Pours a dark 18k-golden yellow with a big rocky white head. The aroma is all hops: zesty citrus, perfumey conifer resin. Very hoppy palate, malts are straw-like, reedy. Finish is long and bitter. Very good.

Pours golden orange with a nice off white head. Nose is absolutely dominated by piney, resinous hops. Palate is much the same with support from some light malt and citrus fruit. Finish is long with medium/high bitterness. This is awesome!!

Orange marmalade and resin on the nose. Rich amber colour. Tasty, everything the nose promises and more, clean bitter finish invites another sip. 2 litre rigger from Regionals

Bottle thanks to the brewer via Bob had at home. Alround rating: Massive hop aroma, citrusy, lychee, pine, pineapple, small hints of caramal body backing it up. Taste is giving me everythign i want from an american pale ale, massivly drinkable citrusy pine up. Excellent!

Nicely crafted APA. The usual suspects (in the good way) on the nose and taste for the the style and very well balanced. Strong US hop aroma and flavor. One of the best pale ales on the NZ market.

I love hops so was pretty excited to try this at Beervana 08. Not dissapointed, big hop aroma and big hop flavour balanced by toffeeish malts. felt a lil stronger than 5.4% surprised when I saw it was....much better than lt creatures pale I usually drink at home in Aust, well not better I guess.. just hoppier !!

Have had on tap and in bottles, prefer it on tap personally as it seems more thin bodied out of the bottle. Pours crystal clear with a nice white fluffy head. Big hop aroma with massive citrus notes. Flavour comes through as a fairly hefty bitterness with a slightly dry finish which lingers on the toungue. Goes down exceptionally well in the warm weather.
