SorenE (110), , New Zealand Feb 18, 2009 Updated: May 25, 2009Nicely crafted APA. The usual suspects (in the good way) on the nose and taste for the the style and very well balanced. Strong US hop aroma and flavor. One of the best pale ales on the NZ market. yeastlove (9), Melbourne, Australia does not count Feb 2, 2009 I love hops so was pretty excited to try this at Beervana 08. Not dissapointed, big hop aroma and big hop flavour balanced by toffeeish malts. felt a lil stronger than 5.4% surprised when I saw it was....much better than lt creatures pale I usually drink at home in Aust, well not better I guess.. just hoppier !! reviled (12), Auckland, New Zealand Feb 1, 2009 Have had on tap and in bottles, prefer it on tap personally as it seems more thin bodied out of the bottle. Pours crystal clear with a nice white fluffy head. Big hop aroma with massive citrus notes. Flavour comes through as a fairly hefty bitterness with a slightly dry finish which lingers on the toungue. Goes down exceptionally well in the warm weather. sdriessen (203), Dunedin, New Zealand Jan 29, 2009 Wow, hoppy indeed!
Aromas are dominated by a citrus rind hop, although some sweet malt, vanilla and floral notes show through.
Flavours are of a zesty, grassy hops with grapefruit and a lemon rind bitterness.
Finishes dry and zesty. Awesome! Kash (2), , New Zealand does not count Dec 18, 2008 Loved this beer. Meet the brewer Luke at the Auckland Food Show. The beer tasted devine. The hops were amazing and its the closest beer to what I drink at home in Portland, OR. Luke you are a great brewer and I wish you every success in the future. Every Kiwi should try this beer. nutpea (15), , Scotland Dec 18, 2008 Tried on tap, smells divine almost like citrus fruit followed by an almost grainy palate but with good mouth feel and quite bitter in the end thirstystirrer (15), , New Zealand Dec 15, 2008 wow this is amazing- big nose- bigger flavour. cant wait to have it again- shame i only got 1 bottle fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Nov 28, 2008 Bottle 330ml. Clear light to medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head.
