Commercial Description:
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. That's where we can help. Because at Epic we're obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

Bottle, 5.4%. Good caramelly and elderflowery hop aroma. Clear golden colour, very small white head. Good teaish hop flavour, some sweet caramel flavour. Nice, clean and refreshing.

Rigger from regional. My favourite of the regular brewed Epic beers. Pours a red/amber with a white head. Strong hoppy aromas dominate. Main flavour is hops, bringing a nice bitterness but not making it too much. The lovely flavours linger after every sip making you want more and more.

330mL Bottle. Amber/Golden beer, with small white head. Aroma leads you to what is to follow - a hoppy bitter beer. Sweetish caramel malt tastes, followed by a strong bitter hop finish. Complex hops and good length on the finish. Great APA!

Terrific Kiwi pale ale. Deep gold with shallow suds. Fruity but slightly muddled aroma - too many hop varietals? Passionfruit, blackcurrant and boiled lollies. Medium bodied and quite oily in feel. Good malt base and bitterness. Spangles lollies. Very sessionable. (330ml bottle at Sully’s Sydney RB Xmas 07 gathering)

Bottla at Manukau Festival. Pours a clear amber with a small, off-white head. Light sweetness with sme bitterness. Hint of caramel aromas - Nice, as it gives a hint of a malt backbone. Heavy citrus and grapefruit hopsaromas. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Best NZ beer so far.

(On tap) Clear, deep golden with a small, off-white head. Fantastic aroma of citrus and peaches. Medium body with solid caramel notes and then again citrus - grape perhaps - before a dry finish that isn’t overly bitter. A lovely APA. 060208

Yellowish tinted, dense head, fed by well-carbonated pale orange beer. Nice tangerine/orange/grapey hops nose, extremely fruity, just great. Sweet orange marmalade, little bitterness, but still a very honest, fruity flavour, if sweet. Oily finish, both taste/MF, like the oil pressed out of the peels of tangerines/mandarines. Near medium bodied, oily. Aftertaste is a weird sweetish beschuit (Dutch toast) with milk chocolate. Nice one! A Southern Halfvariation on an American PA.

Light amber color. Very fragerant nose of peaches and apples with a solid caramel malt profile. Beautifully balaned with malty front to the mouth and then hops tickling the back of the throat. Moderately bitter finish. Well done.
