COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. That’s where we can help. Because at Epic we’re obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

Bottle drank at Bluebird, no freshness date that I can recall... A good looking beer with a dark peach pour, a little copper accent. The head is nice, a bright white cap of about a finger forms and stays awhile, good lacing. Looks good... The aroma is great, nice and restrained for a pale but flavorful, grapefruit on the nose, other citrus notes, caramel, a hint of pine on the finish.... The taste is just as nice as the nose, grapefruit, caramel, but the pine is now mostly grassy hops. It starts off nice but the finish is harsh and flat, really a disappointing finish after a decent start. This should be more drinkable, but it isn’t.

500ml bottle. Pours a burnt orange color with a basically perfect thick fluffy frothy egg-shell colored head. Aroma is bright and citrusy, tea, pine needles, lightly biscuity. Flavor is much the same but like the IPA it is fairly light, not nearly as aggressive as the aroma, detailed hop profile but very light tasting with a weak malt profile. Medium bodied with a heavy water feel and sharp sparse sizzling carbonation, well attenuated and quite dry. Slightly light-struck, but overall clean and refreshing.

Crystal clear copper with almost non-existent white head. Aroma of line and soft citrus. Slightly thin mouthfeel follows through with massive pine and flora. Effervescent rounded on the to the in the end. Slightly bitter and nice dryness.

Copper with overcarbonated bubbles rising in a constant stream. Really nice nose, assertively hopped ,but the flavor can’t match up. Oxidized, more of a eurostyle hop bitterness that doesn’t work as well at this intensity than do some of the more familiar US west coast hop varieties. Malts aren’t doing much here, just along for the ride.

Light bronze. The aroma is green and woody with cascades and a little bit of caramel. Soft body. Moderate bitterness. A little bit woody. Ok, but neither the bitterness nor the brightness is enough to truly compete.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and citrus. The body is light. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
