COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count. That’s where we can help. Because at Epic we’re obsessed with creating big hop-fuelled beers. This takes a shed-load of skill. It also takes a shed-load of hops. In fact there are 15 crammed into this bottle. Many brewers would call that insane. We call it flavour.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2007 Bottle from Regional. Nice fresh one! Resin of fresh hops comes thru in the aroma, it’s like smelling a bag of hops, slightly dusty which i haven’t got before, grapefruit, lemon, lots of grassiness. Dry non-dextrinous beer, with a soft malt and bittereness at the start. Fruit and hopiness of those brilliant American hops, grapefruit -lemon, a little spice and long pleasant lingering bitterness

500ml bottle. Heaven in a glass. Coppery teak colour with a red tinge when held to the light. Packed head that is bone to beige in colour. Hop aromas jump out of the glass and assault your nostrils with a sweet molten caramel aroma. Piney hop flavour is a little different but in a good way.

It’s pretty epic. Loaded with hops. Not as fruity as other pale ales I’ve tried. It has bread and pine sort of flavors as well as a bit of citrus, before briskly going into a crazy big hop explosion finish.

full-on hops in this APA. So bitter it makes your tounge tingle. Clean after-taste and just the right amount of booze. Yummy!

Coppery in colour from what I could ascertain in the light. Fresh to smell with orange zest and orange blossom. To taste, spicy and then again with the orange blossom with a touch of amber malt. Thinner than I expected and subtler bitterness - it sneaks up on you and lingers faintly after everything else. This beer is brewed with English malt and American Cascade hops. I suppose it is a balancing act, but one that works with good mouthfeel. Supreme award winner at BrewNZ.

An amazingly Hoppy Beer. Slight aroma, but its the flavour which grabs you and pulls you in. The colour looks fairly week, but like I said its the flavour. Overall a great beer, look forward to seeing more from these guys.

Bottle at home. Amber orange with a white head. Good body and smooth carbonation. Juicey malt and refreshing piney citrus hops. The best beer that I’ve tried from down under.

Bottle. Pours brilliant copper in colour, nice frothy off white head. Big floral hop aroma and taste, with a matching sweet caramel malt. Very nice APA!
