Light amber color. Very fragerant nose of peaches and apples with a solid caramel malt profile. Beautifully balaned with malty front to the mouth and then hops tickling the back of the throat. Moderately bitter finish. Well done.

Yellowish tinted, dense head, fed by well-carbonated pale orange beer. Nice tangerine/orange/grapey hops nose, extremely fruity, just great. Sweet orange marmalade, little bitterness, but still a very honest, fruity flavour, if sweet. Oily finish, both taste/MF, like the oil pressed out of the peels of tangerines/mandarines. Near medium bodied, oily. Aftertaste is a weird sweetish beschuit (Dutch toast) with milk chocolate. Nice one! A Southern Halfvariation on an American PA.

Just a touch too much on the high powered hops side for my liking but the class in this beer is evident. Lots of citrus and grapefruit with a darker, bitter edge. The nose is actually quite soft and delicate with sweet passionfruit but the beer is much more serious to taste. Plenty of fizz here but probably appropriate to take the sting out of the hops and bitterness. Finish is bitter, dry, and almost a touch peppery. Stands up well on the world stage.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2009 Bottle, a clear and bright orange-amber, quite a bit of carbonation and a thin bubbly head. Whoa - a very hoppy aroma that just oozes dryness. Very dry and bitter, and so many different fruit flavours battling away on palate from all those different hops. Though you can still detect the malt background, which is softly caramal. The finish is very long and bitter. Very American, and very good. Even better on tap - which I highly recommend - the malt comes out much more and even has come chocolate character.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2009 Bottle at The Spotify tasting. Yes, certainly hoppier than on cask, but it then lacks a bit of body too. Yes it is hoppy and enjoyably but still not living up to its hype. Touch of rose petal flavour.

Bottle. Big off white head over a clear amber body. Big hop aroma-passionfuit-resin-citrus-pine. Tastes of same also some ginger and tea notes. Medium bodied and mouth warming. Finishes with a slight bitterness. Great aromas-but the taste doesn’t back them up as much as it should.

500ml bottle, tulip glass. More of those fantastic Epic aromas just a bit dialed down compared to the Armageddon. Wonderful moderate to heavy citrus, peaches, tropical fruit, pine, hop resin aromas, light caramel and roasted malt. Light amber/deep golden hue, medium off white fine bubbly lasting head, very good lacing. Bitter taste mostly with some sweetness and a hint of sourness. Palate is a bit average - slightly lacking in body - a bit thin, very notable dry finish, nicely carbonated. Epic say "You can only drink so many beers in a lifetime, so you better make each one count" and with that in mind although this was a good one I would go for the Armageddon if you want each one to count.

copper orange with small head. Citrus, grapefruit notes to the nose. Flavour initially malty which finishes with lots of crisp grapefruit bitterness.

Citrus aroma, thick head that stays around. Easy to drink with a nice citrussy, sweet flavour. If it was marketed at a lower price it would be an excellent session beer. Another solid beer from epic brewing
