Bottle. Amber, cloudy, small to average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel/light bread with light dark fruits - light tropical fruitiness, some grapefruit - citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel/light bread, light fruitiness, some grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel/bread, light fruitiness, some grapefruit - light citrus hoppyness. Too sweet - bred/rye just do not work for me.

Bottle. Quite hazy orange with a steady white head. Nose of toasted malts, spent grain, light rye, tart fruits, dirty diaper. A little overly sweet malty flavor, again rye is understated, light floral and fruity character and more on point than the nose. Sweet on the palate, not quite cloying, but it would be much more drinkable with a bit more attentuation.

This one just wasn’t my thing. Chestnut pour with a Rocky Mountain head, eggshell in color. Caramel, brown sugar, unbaked dough, rye bread, yeast, and honey. Everything was subdued and nothing really stood out or came together. Rather boring and uneventful. Meh.

Bottle from Release # 11. Pours with a hazed, chestnut brown (relatively light hued brown) with a just off-white head with decent retention and good lace. Aromas are malty, bready, a bit spicy, rye bread, nutty, lightly herbal, very low earth, some citrus. Not much yeast character. Flavors are bready, malty, nutty, clean. Slightly oily mouthfeel which is a bit odd. Quite dry, spicy, low carbonic bite. A touch of currant or fruit ester (mild) in the finish. Lively bubbles, pretty dry. Straight forward, good, spicy brown ale like beer.

Murky dark amber colour with a big beige head. sweet caramel malty rye aroma. Good mouthfeel. Malty sweet caramel rye flavour, pleasant bitterness.

Bottle. Pours an orange-copper color with almost no head. Lots of hoppiness to the nose with a hint of floral notes underneath. Tastes almost like an IPA, though with a different note from the rye in there. A really interesting drink!

Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis. Pours a hazy orangish brown appearance with a cream colored head. Bready, rich rye malty, somewhat spicy, light lemon aroma. A bit lemon citrusy, light fruity, rye bready, dull flavor. Not a whole lot going on but I guess it’s drinkable.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy reddish orange with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity, yeasty and spice. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Light dry and moderate bitter finish. 140812

Bottle, release #13, 5.6% @ FOneFan. Hazy amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit and hop. Flavour is malt, yeast, fruit, caramel, medium sweet, berries, little citrus and spices.
