3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle) Pale golden body with a huge, dissipating white head. Wonderfully fruity and musty aroma: apples (but not sweet "apple juice"), a little pear and peach, complex spices, Apple is even more noticeable in the flavor, and sweeter. Not as yeasty as I expected. Still has loads of spice (mostly cinnamon in the flavor), though, to help balance that sweetness. Sourness rises on the way back and is excellent in the finish. Body is on the light side of medium; nice carbonation. I like it more than most "apple" beers that Iíve had, I guess because of the sourness, though the taste could still be a bit less sweet.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Maxs shared by James. Pours a hazed light golden with a medium head- slightly diminishing. Aroma is toasty, bready light green grassy phenolic, lemon zest and slight soapiness- high carbonation brings out a CO2 burn initially when it fades you can get a slight sour apple/acetaldehyde. Flavor is light green apple, slight cider hint, lemon and pine palmolive hint, cracker, grass, phenolic with light pepper hints, light tartness- mostly dry. Strange beer, but not bad.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks to bmanning for opening up this bottle. Served in a wine glass.
Pours a light straw color. There is a bit of a white head, though that dies quickly. The nose has a bit of light green apple plus a bit of hay and straw. Thereís only a slight bit of yeast and earth. The flavor has a sharp green apple character to it with a strong bite in the finish. Nothing much else there. Maybe light grain. Light body with big carbonation. Just okay.

Bottle @ home. Release #3, 8.0% ABV. Very cloudy light yellow appearance with a pearl white head and soda-like fizz. Belgian yeast, light sour apples, slightly wild Belgian ale nose. Sour green apples, Belgian yeasty, fizzy, quite carbonated, wild Belgian ale flavor. The apple flavor is nice and subdued. Sour fruity, yeasty finish. I think itís a very interesting beer but itís not amazing.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Very light yellow, thatís only slightly hazy with a minimal white head. Vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice, yeastiness and light fruit in the aroma. Nutmeg and cinnamon come through in the flavor at first, and continues to a spicy finish. More sour notes when itís actually colder, but the spiciness comes through most when it warms. Lighter body with vibrant carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle, release #3. Pours a very light hazy yellow with an extremely fizzy/active white head that bubbles and retains for a while.
The aroma is sweet malts and apple juice with some saison-type spices and a bit of funk.
The flavor is sweet apple juice balanced by some yeast funk with a dry slightly bitter champagne like finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with sharp carbonation.
Overall, an interesting blend of apple juice and a saison. The saison qualities balance out the sweet apple surprisingly well. Itís still a bit on the sweet side for me though.

Bottle - Release #3 8.0% ABV. Translucent blond colored body with a tall, foamy white head. Aroma is strong spice, sour apple, candy fruit, bubblegum, sweet malt, and grains. Taste is also big spice notes, strong sour apple, tart fruit, candied fruit, sweet malt, grains, dusty yeast, and bubblegum. Kind of tastes like a bubblegum version of a Sour Apple Jolly Rancher mixed with a saison. Body is light-medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Ends with more spice notes, grains, big yeast, sour apple, fruit notes and bubblegum.
