Cloudy light yellow pour with a huge white head. Nose is of barnyard and light fruits. Taste is extremely crisp, and has a nice tart apple quality to it.

Appearance: Pours a clouded, pale yellow body with a moderate-sized, foamy, white head.

Smell: Granny Smith-based apple cider, then, a bit of pils and wheat malt, with hints of ground spices and cobweb-strewn gum as the sour apple scent ramps up.

Taste: Pilsner malts with, perhaps, a trifling bit of wheat. Lightly tangy, lightly sweet upfront. Yes, there are the expected green apples, moderately tart. Also, a myriad of spice hints and a touch of earthy phenolics (bordering on band-aid occasionally) striking the back-of-the-throat. Finishes dry, phenolic, and tart.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-high carbonation.

Overall: It’s interesting and an appealing combination, sure, though I’m not in love with it, and the one visitation is probably enough for me. Still kinda interesting, though!

Bomber courtesy of gription79. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of apple, perfumy, floral, some sweet undertones. Tastes of light appley notes, floral, some perfumy, funky hints, tarte finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle from Belmont Party Supply.
I popped this one open after a long run in the summer heat. I really didn’t except too much from this beer but was pleasantly surprised. The sour apples add some more tartness to accompany the farmhouse funkiness. It has a dry and tart finish, but it very refreshing. Lively carbonation with a great palate. It seems like a very natural combination that just makes sense.

bottle. batch 2. pours cloudy yellow, almost golden with massive head and insane carbonation. aroma of coriander, clove, and spice...smells just like the brainless on peaches with maybe just a touch of tartness. harsh mouthfeel gives rise to some green apple, coriander, clove, banana, and a touch of ginger...at least the apple comes through a bit

On tap at vintage estate. Smells very fruity and perfumy, i thought I smelled it as soon as the Very thin head. Saison it is but it has many of the attributes of my homemade apple cider, apple cider that has had all the sugar fermented out. A little dull overall. Although there is lots of apple in the aroma, very little ’apple’ carries over to the taste. Yes, it IS a saison, a little farmy in there.

On tap at Vintage Estate in OH. Pours a light whitish yellow with an almost greenish tinge to it, but it’s probably my eyes playing tricks in the dim light. Head is fairly large for a draft pour, but nothing over the top or obnoxious. Aromas are pungent with tart green apples, lemon and grass, and flavor is just more of the same. The sour apple flavor gives it a very unidirectional quality... There are other subtleties there, but they are mostly washed out in comparison to the main event. I liked this quite a bit.
