Bottle. Head is initially average sized, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with a strong note of apple candy, other notes of clove, coriander, pepper, vinegar, lemon zest, gum, insecticide. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy/lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. I want to like this, as it seems like there is ample goodness underneath the badness. The badness being the overwhelming apple Jolly Rancher smell, some vinegar, the spice mix bomb, and fusel alcohol. The yeast odor is good, the malt seems decent, so why did they bungle this up with the kitchen sink of adjuncts??? Quite sour from the apple juice, and too boozy for the style. This is an Americanized pseudo-saison of which there are far too many. Doggone it!

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty light yellow color ale with a big white bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of tart apple with some spicy peppery yeast is quite strong. Taste is a very unique mix between some tart apple notes with a strong spicy yeast strain and with some very high carbonation. Body is quite full with strong carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting though not something I would rink everyday. Almost closer to Champagne then beer.

From a bottle poured a hazy golden color with a small amount of head. Light apple flavor with a spicy finish.

Incredibly spicy aroma immediately out of the bottle, huge white rocky head, somewhat clear yellow light hazy, nice lacing... lots of spices, apple, i actually can detect cardamom, its very distinct... lively, fairly sweet, dry finish, toooooo sweet, medium to medium full body, very spicy, the sweetness kills it for me, peppery, apple, lightly sour, it has so much potential but the sweetness kills the complexities and palate....

Bottle: my first impression is the beautiful light yellow color with a big but quickly dissipating head that is a brilliant white. It smells like coriander and ginger with some apple in the background. This is a busy one to taste. It’s full of ginger, but I get the apples too there is also that familiar yeast flavor at the end. This is a fun one with a lot to taste.

I’m quite sure that I’m drinking the 6th release. Fuck, now I actually have to get up an check the damn bottle for you dicks. Yes, this is release #6, with 7.8% ABV. Diaphanous golden yellow appearance. Thin and wispy head. This looks decent, for a Saison. The aroma is quite pungent; it carries a tad bit of funk with a subtle apple aroma. Seems like I’m getting hints of ginger in there, too. The cinnamon is extremely subtle, but give it a few sniffs, and you’ll find it. The clove, I can’t speak of that because I’m not prone to smelling clove well. Slightly convoluted for being a sour apple Saison, and I say that because, really, all of the added ingredients detract from the inherent qualities that should be there. Just call this fucker something other than "Sour Apple" and I’d be good with that. Nice sour apple flavor at first, but then the ginger and cinnamon take over, but mainly, the ginger. There is a nice lingering sour flavor. The nuances are great, and this is an enjoyable Saison. This beer doesn’t heavily steer towards being a Tripel, like most of the Saisons that I’ve had, recently. Rolls across the tongue decently enough. Decent stuff.

Bottle... Poured hazy, golden with a thick head. A bit medicinal and clove-like with hints of apples. The yeast was there too especially towards the finish.

Bottle (Release #6). Pours hazy pale yellow with a white soapy head that dissipates to a foamy collar. Aroma is bitter yeast and ginger, clove and some acidic fruits. Taste starts bitter and tart with more ginger and clove, acidic apples and yeast and I can feel the alcohol. Palate is medium and fizzy with a dry finish. Very interesting, a definite sipper!

Bomber - well, this beer looks pretty awesome - lively cloudy gold - huge, frothy, well-retained head - nose of wheat, strong peppery phenols, wildflowers, tropical fruit, earthy wildness, lavender - smells pretty damn nice - flavors medium dry and strongly herbal - mildly peppery phenols - earthy sour apple (core, skin and all) - lavender and sage - finish is tart and dry - this is some good stuff.

Bottle. Opened with a pretty decent pop and poured into a NB tulip glass. VERY heady, pours a slightly hazed yellow straw color with a white foamy head that is slow to settle. Leaves sticky frothy lace as it settles. Belgian esthers in the nose, some medicinal, pepper. I was hoping for a more fruit forward aroma but not so much. Light mouthfeel. The first thing I notice is the alcohol, slightly boozy. Tart and dry start and finish. Banana, pear, and some apple. Ends with a sour apple on the lips taste. Not bad but not as good as I wanted it to be.
