Opaque black beer, tidy pale tan head. Fresh palate, a little crispy. Nice dark malt - not bitter or roasty. Strong chocolate tone - cocoa and dark chocolate. Mild lactose. Mild orange hop in the finish.

Bottle from brewdog Manchester. Tasty, dark chocolate and coffee. Perhaps a bit too fizzy but very flavoursome for the percentage.

0.5 l bottle bought from GBBF 2011. Black color. Aromas of salty licorice, leather, chocolate and burnt grass. Soft roasty taste with licorice, charcoal and nuts. Medium bitterness. Medium body. Salty licorice in finish. Good beer but kind of ordinary for a collaboration beer.

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of liquorice, strong black coffee, cocoa, ashes and dark rye bread. Roasted, malty taste with liquorice, black coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of tar and a generous roasty, piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Mainly dry, with just a hint of sweetness. Powerful, yet well balanced. Tasty and quite an excellent stout.

In bottle thanks to Colin : ) A black beer with a thick tan head. Awesome hoppy aroma of peach and passion fruit with a nice roasty malt and caramel backbone. Flavours of piney hops, dark chocolate, roasty malt and burnt toast. Nice coffee and pine finish. Moderate carbonation, mild CO2 prickle. Lovely.
