Stout looking with a small creamy head. Roasted malt, coffee and sweet aromas. Flavour of roasted coffee and malt with a hint of sweet dark fruit and gentle hop bitterness. Smooth body and dry bitter finish.

Bottle, 12C. Very dark brown with a dense crema head. Aroma has mild roast, nuts, coffee, nectarines, lychees and a little gooseberry. Certainly quite noticeably hoppy aromatics for a stout. Medium body has some stickiness. Taste has more roasted malt character than suggested by the aroma. Not much fruit taste, but quite a lot of coffee and cocoa. Dry, almost powdery finish is more roasted than hop bitterness. Lacks a little depth but pretty good.

Nice well rounded stout... would have like to see more ’Epic’ hop character though. Lovely to drink but not distinctive.

Draught. Roasty dry and plenty of chocolate. The hops are more subtle than you expect from Luke, but it is balanced perfectly with the fruit coming through in the finish. Extremely moreish.
