Bottle@Brew on Quay. Apperance: Dark brown with a huge creamy head. Aroma: Chocolate, Caramel, Hint of coffee, Roasted malts. Taste: Caramel, Roasted malts, Hint of coffee, Hint of oak, Chocolate. Palate: Creamy and balanced but a rather thin body. Could use more of everything. A very drinkable stout that lacks a bit of everything. Esp i’d like to see a fuller body and some more hops. Nice try!

Interesting stout. Really dominated by citrus and grassy hop flavors which I found a surprise. A little toasting and nuts as well. Maybe the hoppy flavors stood out because I wasn’t expecting them. A dark body and a aggressive head. Heaps of carb too which I didn’t enjoy. Still, a good beer which I could have again no worries.

Bottle, 12C. Very dark brown with a dense crema head. Aroma has mild roast, nuts, coffee, nectarines, lychees and a little gooseberry. Certainly quite noticeably hoppy aromatics for a stout. Medium body has some stickiness. Taste has more roasted malt character than suggested by the aroma. Not much fruit taste, but quite a lot of coffee and cocoa. Dry, almost powdery finish is more roasted than hop bitterness. Lacks a little depth but pretty good.

Nice well rounded stout... would have like to see more ’Epic’ hop character though. Lovely to drink but not distinctive.
