COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This seasonal Saison is brewed with fresh herbs. The first whiff is that of a festive array of rosemary, thyme with a dominating profile leaning towards sage. This beautifully crafted farmhouse style Belgian beer is warm with herbal notes and backed with earthy hops.

Wow, I really liked this saison. Lots of sage, really and truly sage, on the palate and the nose. Fresh. Plenty of sticky and piney resins. not over-sweet or over-hopped or anything. Excellent and interesting.

Bottle, shared at the lake. cloudy pale yellow with a creamy white head that leaves sheets of lace. Spicy yeast and pungent green hop character combine with doughy malts to deliver a unique, but very enjoyable, saison.

Wittales (761) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 30, 2016
Appearance was cloudy orangish golden with creamy white 2 finger lasting head, rings of lacing. Aromas are soft sage, rosemary, tangerine, orange, lemon with spicy yeasts. Taste are sweet lemons upfront then sage and rosemary come to play mid sip. Malt bready soft sweet backbone with just enough Belgian spicy yeast ending. Palate was creamy CO2 with light-medium body, then lasting aromatic drying balanced finish. Overall a wonderful flavorful Saison, try it.

Aroma is citrus, tart, pine needles, apricot and herbal spices. Definitely sage theme but not overpowering. Taste is light sweet malts with clove, vegetables and citrus flavors. Finishes with tart, grass and lemon grass. Well balanced and tasty. Appearance is a hazy gold with a fluffy pearl head that retains quite well.

22oz bottle. Clear yellow color with a white head. A lot of head retention. Citrus lemon yeast aroma. Lemon spice hops flavor. Medium light body. Closer to juice than a beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - Sweet flowery herbal notes and lots of rosemary. Hazy gold with a rich white head. Sweet Rosemary dominates and some peppery notes with a touch of esters and yeast. Too much Rosemary.

650ml bottle pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a huge white head that settles down to some nice lacing. Aroma is sage with some lemon zest and herbal notes. Taste is a herbal hop bitterness with some lemon tartness and a light malty sweetness with a dry finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting brew, well crafted, but does not sit well with me.

Bomber. Hazy yellow with a big white head. Sage, rosemary, dandelion, green tea and a little green apple. Refreshing dry herbal flavor with the slightest tartness. Lighter body with a crisp fizzy feel.

Poured from bottle into a chalice glass Appearance The beer pours very hazy golden orange color with a large white rocky foam head. The head fades very slowly over time to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell The aroma of the brew is big of a peppercorn and herbal smell with the herbal aromas being a mix of sage and rosemary with some other nondeScript herbal aromas. Along with these smells comes some aromas of a yeastiness and well as a bit of a sweeter orange citrus smell. With a little bit of banana and some grass and hay, an herbal funked and slightly sweet smell is delivered overall. Taste The taste begins with a somewhat drier wheat and cracker taste mixed with an herbal taste of a sage and a moderate showing of yeast. As the taste advances a little bit of citrus tangerine and orange sweetness comes to tongue, with it later fading again. As the sweeter citrus fades, it is replaced by some lemon and even more herbal tastes with more sage piling on and being joined by some other herbal tastes, a bit of grass, and some peppercorn. With some hay and a slight resurgence of the sweeter flavors of tangerine coming at the end, one is left with a somewhat funky and herbal yeasted taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel The body of the beer is average in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average to slightly higher. For the style a little thinner body and a slightly higher carbonation level may have accentuated the mix of sage and sweet slightly better. Even said the overall feel was OK. Overall- A decent saison overall with a whole lot of an herbal taste. For the price tag, not one I would likely frequent, but it was at least an interesting one to try.

This is a desert beer the spices really stand out. Gets a bit of bitterness from the sage, but its not overpowering. Still smooth very drinkable.
