4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. A beautiful, bountiful pour. Hazy, muted orange with a golden tilt, the towering head of bright white, frothy foam hanging around for quite some time. The aroma is super sexy ... sweet and thick with a fresh, spring-time herbal edge. This drinks with a full-on complement of the promised herbal notes ... this would be delicious alongside a Thanksgiving turkey. (#4822, 11/11/2012)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Firkin at Bailey’s Taproom. Hazy medium straw color. Light delicious fruity nose, with hint of herbs. Fruity, floral opening, sage comes out strongly in mid palate, finish is quite mild, a sort of wild child. Thin body. Pleasant but doesn’t have a lot of saison character.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Denver location. Pour is clea golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Herbs, sage, vanilla, citrusy, light biscuit, and basil - heavily dominated by herbs. Taste is big sage, lavender, spruce tips, floral, doughy, grassy, and basil with a fruity finish. Medium body with crisp carbonation. Well-crafted but much too she heavy for my liking.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy with a light gold hue, under a thin foamy white cap. The aroma has a lot of rosemary and thyme, as if the brewers wanted to make a steak marinade, with a touch of bright belgo fruitiness. The taste is smooth and crisp with that herbal note from the nose of rosemary and sage/thyme, some light citrus rind hoppiness, a sweet undertone of sweet Belgian pale malts, light pear and apricot notes throughout, maybe some peach on the finish. Complex and interesting. Sweet yet very herbal.

Smells like a sour ale and hits sharp on the front of the tongue and buttery toward the back. I thought it tasted delicious.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Herbal, light safe aroma; golden appearance with an off-white head; hoppy, with a definite but not overwhelming sage taste; fizzy on the palate with a clean finish; overall, a terrific beer, refreshing with hops and a clean herbal flavor

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured as a taster in Denver tap room. Sage on nose along with basil, very spicy and dominated by sage, crisp, could be good with food but I don’t think I could drink a full glass without something to eat. There’s just far too much sage here.
