Slightly higher in alcohol content than traditional Wits, ours is brewed using wheat, oats, authentic Belgian yeast, malts and just a sprinkle of hops. Spices include coriander, sweet and bitter orange peel and grains of paradise.

bottle. hazy pale golden with one finger head. itís a bit of a strange take on the wit style. the grains of paradise adds a unique spiciness that doesnít entirely fit what i want in a wit, but isnít bad either. plenty of coriander and orange peel as well.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Batch number 11. Pour was hazy yellow-gold with a big foamy white head. Light lacing. Nose of coriander and orange zest. Medium plus in body. Flavor is coriander, orange, citrus, and peppery. Lively finish. Lots of flavor for the style. Very refreshing.

22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, release #10 bottled 5/31/2012. Pours lightly hazy golden straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, coriander, clove, pepper, wheat, ginger, earth, floral, and light herbal. Damn nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity. Taste of big lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, ginger, clove, pepper, wheat, bread, floral, earth, grass, and herbal. Lingering notes of citrus, coriander, clove, pepper, ginger, wheat, grass, and herbal on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic flavor balance and complexity; with a great malt/spice balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a lightly creamy and very crisp and prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent witbier! Great flavor balance and complexity; very smooth a crisp to drink. Highly enjoyable offering; exceeded my expectations.

Pours light gold with a slight head. Not a lot of smell to this one, but has a nice slight citrusy taste to it.

Bottle... Poured somewhat orange with an easy forming eggy, off-white head. Loads of yeast spices and coriander in the both aroma and flavor. Wheated malt sweetness and vanilla along with bitter orange rind peels, citrus, grassy hops, and yeast spices as it dried out towards the finish. This was well done but if I were to nitpick Iíd say a little too much on the spicing here.

Bottle at taproom. Pours golden with a thin white head. Nice orange peel and grains of paradise on the nose. Lots of perfume from the grains on the tongue. Finishes clean. Solid!

Hazy yellow with small amount of whitish head. Very floral aroma and coriander. Flavor is very heavy on the spiciness which I think comes from the grains of paradise. Somewhat bitter orange pith twinge on the finish. Very effervescent. Reminds me of a a bier de garde more than a traditional wit. Pretty good and refreshing, but not exactly what I want when Iím having a wit.

Release #10 bottle from the brewery. 5.1% alc/vol. Wow, thatís a good and oddly powerful witbier. Tons of wheat, citrus and yeast. This is not a bland interpretation of the style. Tasty.
