COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We designed Eclipse Brown Ale to emphasize a dry, toasty malt profile. Your first impression should be of a rich, toffee-like aroma. The flavor is clean and malty with a complexity that opens slowly, and builds as the beer warms. The finish has hints of toast and nuts, with a slight lingering sweetness

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a very lightly hazed deep brown body with a lasting tan head. Aromas are malty, caramel, nutty, toasty with light spice (hops maybe). Flavors are nutty, caramel, bitter with light raisin notes. Medium bubbles, fuller body.

Pour is dark red with off white head, aroma brings lots of nutty, toffee, and caramel notes, some slight spice, burnt toast, and biscuit as well. Taste is fairly simple, but nice sweet nutty notes, sweet caramel and toffee as well balanced by a bit of bitter earthy spice, finishing a bit sweet.

On a recent trip to Fort Collins with friends, we had the opportunity to try this one on tap at the brewery. Poured a reddish-brown color with a light brown head. Aromas of nuts, chocolate and light coffee. On the palate, this one was medium bodied, with flavors of milk chocolate and toasted nuts.

Light chestnut brown, with an aroma of cocoa, toffee, with a slight touch of coffee tones. But the taste lost all those qualities. Very light bodied and chocolate malty. Bland and uncomplicated. Still tasty though.

Ar: Sweet smell, with coffee and chocolate the most obvious. App: Dark pour, with a dark ruby, amber, and cloudy color when held up to the light. Finger width head quickly goes away T: Sweet, caramel taste. Not as sweet as the smell, and there’s a toast flavor there as well. A little bit of bitterness lingers after the swallow. M: Pretty crisp feel, medium-bodied, and not heavy at all. A very good taste, the clean feel, and an ABV that’s not too high makes for a solid, delicious brown ale. Another good beer from this great brewery.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a deep brown color with ruby highlights and a thin, tight off-white that faded to a layer and left some spotty lacing. Aroma or roasted malt, toffee, chocolate, nuts, and some light earthy hops. Smooth, sweet entry with hints of caramel and chocolate that lead into a moderate roastiness with a light nuttiness that lingers into the finish where it is paired with a lightly bitter hoppiness with light hints of citrus fruit. Low carbonation and soft, smooth mouth feel. Overall, I find it really hard to find brown ales that I enjoy, even though I really enjoy the style overall, but this is a really solid brown ale that I have gone back to the brewery to get more of more than once.
