Deep gold, pale amber in color, Kepler has a distinct citrus aroma, very reminiscent of lemons. A light sweetness balances the relatively high hops bitterness. The yeast character has subtle fruit notes, which compliment the toasty malt flavors. Hops and malt linger in the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Clear, golden-amber appearance with a white head. Aroma of toasted grain and zesty hops. Similar flavor, big lemon peel, moderate hop bitterness and a light malt sweetness with a lingering finish. Refreshing and easy to drink overall.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, biscuit, some slight grass and floral hops, touch of orange as well. Taste is a mix of caramel and grassy hops, touch of spice and floral notes finishing fairly dry.

Tap @ Equinox. Transparent, slightly darkish orange appearance with a disappearing, off white head. Quite dull, slightly organic/earthy hoppy, slightly toasty malty aroma but there isn’t much going on. Sweet caramel/toasty malty, very dull flavor. Seriously, there isn’t much going on in this beer. Maybe more boring than notalush.
