Tastes as advertised! Malty, nutty, earthy withouy being in your face. Can discern the toffe malt throughout while maintaining the fuggles hop charactetistics. Smooth.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2012 On tap @ brewery. Amber brown appearance with an off white head. Nutty, toffee, roasty caramel malty nose. Toffee, light espresso, hazelnut, toasty, caramel malty flavor. Toasty toffee aftertaste. Great session beer.

On a recent trip to Fort Collins with friends, we had the opportunity to try this one on tap at the brewery. Poured a reddish-copper color with a dirty white head. Aromas of toasted malt and caramel. On the palate, this one was medium bodied, with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and toffee.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber with small beige head. The aroma is roast, nuts, figs, caramel. Medium mouthfeel with light roasted malt, nuts, and light toffee. Solid.

Sampled at the brewery. Toasted malts, caramel, grainy, malty rich. Dry finish, boring. Not much complexity.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear red pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of slight metal, caramel, hints of grass and spice, toasted malts with a touch of earth. Taste was a mix of earthy and grass hops, touch of toasted bread, caramel, and metallic notes, finish fairly sweet.

Clear mahogany color with red hues and minimal head.
Malt nose, some toffee and cherry notes.
Fruity flavors, with some beet, cherry life savers, lo-med bitterness.
Light-med body, sweet after taste. OK.

On tap at Equinox poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light toffee with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

So this is typically always a boring style, but among the beers I sampled at Equinox, boring and safe seemed like a good choice. Very mild hops and sweet caramel malts. Some biscuit. Not bad.

Tap. Pours mostly clear brown with light ruby tint with average, creamy off-white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is bread and toasted malt, fig, dates, floral hops, and caramel. Flavor is sweet malt dominate with faint fruit esters and hops; semi-sweet finish. Light body, low carbonation, and low warmth.
