Tap at Equinox. Pours clear tawny with an average, fizzy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, chocolate, toasted), light hops (woody), average esters (grape) with notes of toffee. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, chocolate, toasted), light hops (woody), light esters (grape) with notes of dates. Medium body, carbonation and creaminess, low warmth and a sweet texture giving way to a dry finish.

On tap at Equinox poured a clear reddish brown with a lastin g tan head. Aromas of toasted malt, cocoa, toffee and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, toffee and light roastiness with a smooth lingering malty finish.
