Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 26, 2008 Draft at Kerstbierfestival 2007. A very dark brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of spice - especially cloves and coriander and a light acidic note of coffee. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry roasted malty finish. Lovely. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 17, 2008 Bottled at Akkurat, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, rocky head. Perfumy floral nose with candy sugar and prunes. Bittersweet with clean mouthfeel and medium-full body. Realy hoppy with bitter almond and marzipan, salty bitter finish. Elegance is lost in the quest for power. yespr (7817), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 17, 2007 From tap, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours hazy brown with a lacing off-white head. Caramel malt aroma, heavy roasted and somewhat toffee like. Bitter herbal flavour with some sweetness lurking through. Ends with a lingering spice note into the burned malt flavours. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Feb 26, 2007 Bottled. Very dark copper colour, even close to black. Big beige head. Chocolate, roasted malts and coffee in the aroma. Also some caramel, raisins and spices can be found. Flavour goes on accordingly with the aroma, and is well balanced.
