Yellow grainy color, with white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, malts and banana. Sweet wheaty finish. Easy to drink also from the bottle.

Bottle (330ml). Wow, you have to love the bottle opener on the bottom of this one, it’s ingenious! To bad it’s only for twist off’s. Poured a hazy/off yellow with a frothy head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of banana custard, banana lollies (light), wheat, honey and a hint of vanilla. Flavor was again of banana lollies with some wheat, bready notes, honey and a touch of lemon. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation, watery texture, creamy mouthfeel and a average finish. A little to sweet.

(Bottle at Fynske Øldage) Fruity, wheaty aroma. Sweet and mild flavor. Lots of fruit. Almost like winegums. This is definitely for drinking lots of on hot summer nights.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2008 Aroma e sabor fracos demais. A aparência também não ajuda: coloração pálida e a espuma fraquíssima. O álcool é totalmente imperceptível. Carbonatação média. Suas notas cítricas são levíssimas, quase inexistentes. Não há nada de interessante nessa cerveja...

12oz bottle poured into a weizen glass. EC pours grapefruit yellow, cloudy and with a medium to large head. It has a very faint aroma consisting mostly of lemon and adjuncts. The body is thin. The taste is much more like an American wheat than a German Hefeweizen, much to its detriment. Overall this is one of the least inspiring German beers I’ve had and certainly one of the worst hefeweizens. This might make a good hydrating beer after mowing the lawn though!

Nada demais. Fraca, aguadíssima, aroma quase inexistente e paladar fraco. Decepcionante.

33cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Cloudy orange with ample creamy white head. Aroma is subtle banana, citrus, and yeast. Flavor is a very light version of regular Erdinger Weissbier. It makes for a very drinkable session beer. Good for drinking straight from the bottle and having several with the guys. If I’m wanting to truly enjoy a hefeweizen, I’ll drink something else.

A pretty cool bottle, but not much of a beer inside.

it’s very light and it doesn’t have the charm of the other Erdinger wheat beers. But average Erdinger quality is still way above the quality of other beers. And it’s a great idea, anyway, to finally have a wheat beer made available that can be drunk from the bottle.
