With its fine yeast, Erdinger Champ has the character of a classic Bavarian wheat beer. The yeast gives the beer is natural, slightly cloudy appearance. Erdinger Champ - pure wheat beer enjoyment straight from the bottle.

As I really don’t like just any German Hefeweizen, I must admit that I quite enjoyed this one, but probably only, because it seemed to me more like an Ale or Wheat Ale, than a Hefeweizen. I didn’t drink it out of the bottle -of course- and it poured a cloudy light amber colour with low steady creamy head and medium body. Nose of fine hops and yeast. Taste of very light and young fresh yeast, mild hops, light malt, citrus fruits and grass. Easy to drink, refreshing, nothing to moan about.

11.2 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy orange color with a large fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of wheat with a bit of doughiness and caramel. Citrus, soft stone fruits, spice, yeast. The taste is citrus, wheat, fairly strong clove, mild banana, some toastiness. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation. Decent.

Bottle 0,33L. Hazy yellow colour with small, creamy, white head that dissipate fast. Weak aroma of banana and chewing gum. Taste starts light sweet and become light acidic in the aftertaste. Medium to full body with oily texture and lively carbonation. Comparing it to classic Erdinger, they acquired on drinkability and refreshnes, but lost on richness of taste.

Bamberg Bash Day 3. Bottle at Munich airport. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy and crisp. Smooth pale malt, touch of vanilla and cream. Light minerals and a whisper of lactose.

Very nice "weissbier light" doesent pretend to be more than it is. The refreshing taste is nice on a warm spring day in the sun.

Color much veiled and pale. Ordinary but pleasant scent, decidedly fizzy. Fresh taste, much pungent with wine cellar aroma. Not memorable but altogether a good weiss.

(Bottle at Fynske Øldage) Fruity, wheaty aroma. Sweet and mild flavor. Lots of fruit. Almost like winegums. This is definitely for drinking lots of on hot summer nights.

Medium white fine-laced head over hazy dark yellow body. Mild round wheat aroma with refreshing sourish spice notes with a hint of banana. Full, rounded wheat taste with quite refreshing spice taste. Slightly mealy mouthfeel. Aftertaste is dry spices with a touch of metal. An OK weizen, but not very remarkable.
