COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
Name changed from Erdinger Weissbier Dunkel to Erdinger Dunkel, and abv changed from 5.6% to 5.3% by 2012.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.3%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

500 ml bottle. Spicy dark smell. Dark color with a big clear brown head. The carbonatation looks very unnatural. Sweet coffe taste with a soft aftertaste. A very creamy beer, but if im not having a dessert, i’ll preffer the Hefeweizen

Man erfährt, was man gar nicht wissen will (CAT I/STARKÖL).

Ciemna niemiecka pszenica pozostawia, niestety, wiele do życzenia. W szkle wygląda całkiem przyzwoicie. Brązowy kolor i spora, jasnobeżowa piana, która jednak szybko opadła. W aromacie niewiele wyczułem, nie przypominało to piwa pszenicznego... W smaku również raczej kiepsko i ubogo. Brak charakterystycznych nut, piwo płaskie i bezsmakowe. Z pewnością nie powtórzę.

Pours dark brown with a thick white head. Aroma of yeast, bready. Taste is very yeasty too, bit nutty on the finish, bit watery.

Jeden z moich ulubionych niemieckich ogólnodostępnych ciemnych piw pszenicznych.

Aroma of bread and caramel with some yeast. Large head quickly disapearing to thin layer. Dark brown colour. Pleasant taste of caramel, yeast and wheat with delicate bitterness. Smooth and well-balanced.
