A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.3%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Full black, medium white head. Medium body, soft carbonation. Little bit of coffee in the aroma. Malts, wheat. Medium sweet finish. Quite boring, expected more. (Konzum 0,5l bottle)

Tap @ Artturi.
Murky dark brown beer with little light brown head. Aroma and flavor are sweet malty, little roasted and dark fruity raisiny. Finish has a nice bite of bitterness and the aftertaste goes on for a good while with peppery spiciness, and maltiness. Palate is thin and sparkling. The dark fruity sweetness reminds me of kotikalja, not very weizenish.

Mooie chocoladebruine kleur met een volle crème kraag. Ruikt mout, geroosterd, beetje bitter. Smaakt wat zoet, mout, beetje dun.

Bottle from Sake Marche. Smooth roasty nose, with a hint of licorice, and some yeast. Medium translucent brown color. Thin light chocolate, gentle wheaty notes, and flavors float away on final carbonation. Thin body. Pretty thin stuff. Has a bit a flavor but not much wheat character.

bottle. Brown with one finger head. Sweet and malty. There’s a bit of banana. Solid dunkel, but not quite outstanding.

Sweet wheat on nose and palate, lovely mouthfeel, but nothing very exciting in flavour .

Lightly beige coloured head, no CO2 and a soft hazyness with mahagony colour. Offers at first a light metallic aroma on the nose which fades quickly into wood, roasted malt and light chocolate aromas. Rather full round bodied, lightly sweet with a slick texture. Relatively elegant dry and balanced sweet-bitter medium finish.

Hazy dark brown color, medium sized tan head. Medium body, average to high carbonation. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, wheat, nuts, caramel, some hoppiness. Medium sweet, light bitter taste. Well, this is a nice surprise. Very good!

Nice dark brown with a white head. Sweet, with tastes of caramel and banana. Very good beer.
