3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16.9oz Bottle. The pour was a hazy dark caramel brown with an average tan fizzy head that totally dissipated and had virtually no lacing to speak of.
The aroma was of a toasted dark malt and a sweaty doughy yeast with notes of caramel, dark fruit (plums and prunes) and a light scent of alcohol.
The taste was much like the aroma with a lightly sweet acidic maltiness a touch of caramel and a mild dose of fruit throughout, with the finish having a much yeastier appeal and strongly effervescent. The flavor was rather short in duration, disappearing quickly off the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was lighter than expected in body for a Dunkel with a watery texture and an extremely fizzy carbonation.
Overall this was a pretty tasty brew, although nothing over the top. I could see myself sippin’ on a few of these on a nice hot day...

Palate: Smooth light oily texture, light/medium body, prickly carbonation and a lingering finish which is fruity and malty with a touch of sweetness.
Comments: Very tasty and left a slight glass lace.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled, 0.50l. Hazy dark brown color with large frothy tan-like head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of moderate grainy malt, light roasted malt, caramel, mild herbal hops, yeast and banana. Taste starts with light sweet malt, followed by refreshingly heavy grainy acidity and frutiness, while finish is very lightly bitter, almos unnoticable. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Tasty classic...

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 500 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a cloudy dark brown with a large and lasting off white head. Great lacing. Toasted brown bread nose. The flavor has a hint of clove, a light toasted nut note, and lots of toasted brown bread flavor. Light to medium body, smooth on the tongue with a slightly dry finish. Very solid brew.
