Brown color, medium beige head. Banana, yeast and wheat aromas. Taste mirrors the aroma with some added sugar. Decent.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma of soap, toast and cinnamon. Quite dark with big foamy head. Taste is pretty vacant. Not sure I tasted anything. Erdinger makes quite possibly the worst German beers in mass distribution. Some syruppy matter remains but otherwise it’s wet air. What a joke. Best before 03-2017 so it’s not a bad bottle just a bad beer.

500ML bottle. Pours dark clay brown with large white head. Good retention. Some Lacing. Smell is still yeasty but usurped by malt and nut. Taste is malty with caramel, hazelnut, some spice and quite yeasty. Thin yeasty mouthfeel. Nice tasting but a little weak bodied. Not much else to say, it’s obviously a good quality brew as always with erdinger, but a pretty pedestrian effort. Probably an entry level or benchmark dunkel.

Barna búzasör ami elég kuriózum. Nem is rossz, krémes, kellemesen karamellás ízű egy kis banánnal spékelve. Adalékmentes. Egy nagy hibája van, hogy kevés benne a bubi. De nagyon.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 50cl. Pours blurry light-medium hazed deep brown colour with strong brownish, stable, creamy foam. Aroma is subtle, but noticable. Roasted malts, wheat, clove, caramel, toffee, coffee, chocolate, banana, ripe fruits, bread, and of course yeast. Then again. If you want, you could say its weak for the style - metallic and just pale malt. You really have to look for it. Light sweet, roasty bitterness with creamy mouthfeel. Rye bread, malt, caramel flavour, but bit watery. Bit confusing to drink. It’s easy to drink and whatnot, but everytime you about to praise it for being something, its not delivering. Average.

Medium strong taste with taste of caramel, yeasts and sweet fruits.
Beer is turbid from yeasts, color is from dark brown to black. Beer has very nice creamy foam.
Taste is yeastsy and little sour with creamy texture.

I was expecting a lot of flavour from this dark dunkel. I was very disappointed from the first taste. It is incredibly bland and rather flavourless for a dark brew.

cherry lactic on the nose followed by lightly creamed pecan pie and sugar plums sporting little rusted razor blades coated in baby powder aftertaste. Within the long, forgotten afterwards licorice stubs, tamed by cleanliness, patiently punch out of near oblivion.
