Appearance: hazy straw with one finger of fluffy white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, no lacing. (3/5) Aroma: banana, bubblegum, cloves, doughy wheat. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, very mild bitter and pepper. (6/10) Palate: medium-light body, lively carbonation, brief off-dry finish. (3/5) Also known as their “Festweiße”, which is a much more accurate name, since it categorically isn’t the Märzen style one normally associates with the label “Oktoberfest”, but rather a straight-up Hefeweizen. It’s pretty similar to their Urweiss, actually, but with lighter colour, flavour, and body. (Yet a higher ABV - go figure!) Definitely something one could drink a lot of at a festival celebrating looney old Ludwig’s birthday! (13/20)

Bottle pours a hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is pretty light wheat, banana, and clove. Taste similar to aroma, very light flavors, more wheat then spice. Pretty nice for a Hefe, drinkable without overwhelming clove and banana.

Bottle--hazy, yellow color with a large head that settles quickly. Quiet aroma of bananas and wheat. Sweet fruitiness taste up front with muted wheat and a slight bitterness on finish. Total wine

11.2 oz bottle. Pours hazy with very long lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, malts and citrus. Taste wheat, banana, fruit, semi sweet. Very good.

Very nice and almost creamy foam. It smells pleasant of fruit and malt and the taste is malty with good fruit notes of some banana and orange together with very easily citrus. Alcohol can vaguely suggested that a slightly pungent taste towards the end. Hop bitterness is gentle but good. It is perhaps not quite as one can expect a weiss, there is probably a little too sweet and too strong. But a good and solid German piece of art it is.

Botella. Color clásico de cerveza turbia de trigo. Mucha espuma.

Pours a hazy pale yellow color, topped with a decent frothy white head, settling quickly. Mild aroma alltogether, some wheatiness and bananas, that’s mostly it. Sweet and wheaty start, slight fruitiness. Mild bittery feel and slight sourness in the finish. Nothing oputstanding, but a very nice weizen.

Cloudy yellow, tall creamy head, excellent lacing. Aroma of grains, yeast, candy. Medium body. Sweetish taste, grainy, not really much wheat, some alcohol. Light bitterness, bready. Minimal alcohol. Malt & hops in finish. It’s not a typical Hefe definitely. Still good.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
