500ml bottle. Hazy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with huge, thick, firm, frothy, superbly lasting, white head. Cautious wheaty aroma, hints of protein, a sweetish grainy-fruity touch close to orange zest, a touch of lemon, very cautious yeast-spiciness. Taste is minimally sweet malty, wheaty, a touch of lemon. Light, almost a bit watery, shandy resemblance. Very drinkable, flattering, mass compatible.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 15A). Bottle 50cl - batch L041108. AROMA: wheat malt background with some mild sweet notes and esters. APPEARANCE: light gold color and a bit hazy. large moussy white head with below-average retention. TASTE: wheat malt background with some ester notes. PALATE: medium-light body with average carbonation. OVERALL: an average festweisse a bit more complex than the traditional Erdinger weizen.

12oz bottle - Decent, but I’d hate to give this to someone and tell them that this is a representative of the Oktoberfest beer that they enjoy each year in Germany. It lacks flavor, it lacks aroma. It starts out with a blast of bubblegum aroma then smoothes into some pilsner-ish aroma. Flavor has a minimal approach to the malt profile, and it really reminds me of a weak hefeweizen or a light pils. Blah...

This was pretty disappointing. Mich milder flavour (maltwise and hopwise) than I was expected. Not much different from an ordinary lager.

Flat nose, flat taste, ok look and mouthfeel. A very forgettable weibier. Skip this, Hoegaarden would've been a far superior choice.

Appearance with pale golden color, cloudy liquid and high cream short-lived. Fruity aroma (banana, melon and a little passion) On the palate, the body is light, despite the higher alcohol content. An interesting edition of Erdinger.

Bottle 0.5l. Cloudy yellow with medium creamy white head. Aroma of sweetish banana, yeasty, a bit floral, earthy. Moderate banana flavor, sweetish, a bit soapy, floral, spicy, light sour finish. Creamy texture, too carbonated, light to medium body.
