3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden with a large sticky foamy head. Aroma grainy and crisp, with some sweetness, bread, and clove. Taste of fruit, clove, lots of banana in mid-palate and towards the end. Very bready, with a slightly unpleasant finish. Otherwise not a bad beer, as far as wheat beer goes.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. As Erdinger Oktoberfest. Cloudy golden-orange with a white head. Wheaty aroma with mild fruity esters, some clove and a light bready note. Wheaty flavor, sweetish, with a bit of fruitiness, mild spicy phenols, a light touch of tartness and a light citric note. Medium-bodied, nice fluffy mellow mouthfeel. Not flavorful enough, and could use some more esters, but still a decent easy-drinking Weizen.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Interesting labeling. Tastes nothing like any Oktoberfest I’ve ever had... but it definitely tastes like a hef! Golden pour from tap. Thick foam. Notes of banana and yeast.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle into weizen glass, best before 5/2014. Pours hazy bright golden amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange, pear, apple, clove, pepper, light banana, wheat, bread, floral, grass, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with solid complexity and balance of malt and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with decent strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, apple, wheat, toast, bread, honey, light banana, light clove, floral, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of citrus, light fruits, wheat, toast, honey, floral, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance and solid complexity of malt and yeast ester flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a moderately creamy and smooth mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a pretty good hefeweizen. Solid complexity, balance, and robustness of flavors; and very smooth to drink. An enjoyable offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy golden orange appearance with strong head, no sedimentation. Malty aroma with yeast notes, medium sweetness, low bitterness. Light body, very refreshing. Not typical Weizen style, mixture with Oktoberfest/Märzen.

Draft. From notes. Grains and bready malt with a hint of spices and citrus. Not a bad brew, but by far not my favorite of the night.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draft. Pours murky yellow with wheat aromas and little carbonation. Light white head that lingers. This is a wheat beer which I don't care for. Typical wheat beer flavors.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Typical German wheat beer, not sure what makes it an Octoberfest. Pours light as straw with a huge head. High carbonation. Light crisp and some might spices. Sweet with a dry finish.
