Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 09/23/2011. Oktoberfest Weissbier bottle. The beer is a hazy yellow color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spots and strings of lacing. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Light body with flavors of sweet fruit, wheat and light grassy hops. The finish is wheaty and short. Fairly average overall.

23-SEP-2011, bottle @home, from "Netto": Light hazy golden with high lasting fine bubbled head. Lovely yeasty nose with citrus and banana. Taste is banana, lemon, and orange. Quite bitter for a weisse. Very fine and very drinkable brew.

12 oz. bottle from a shaker. Purchased as the Oktoberfest. Generic golden filtered color. Aroma is mild grassy notes but overall quite simple. Taste is also simple. Far closer to a lager than a weizen beer. Generic malts and hops, but very sessionable and simple. A decent festbier.

(draught - Loreley Manhattan) hazy gold with white head. Citrus/yeast/wheat aroma. Flavor with wheat, yeast, sweet and malty for a weissbier

Draft at Zincinnati Oktoberfest and most likely several times in Germany too. This is really my favorite type of fest beer. A little sweeter, a little caramely malt but with some hops to balance. Always enjoyable.

0,5 l. bottle. Hazy, orange-yellow colour with a big, soft white head that lasts troughout. Rather rich aroma: Hay, some citrus and dough and bubblegum. Light sweetness with a medium body and soft carbonation. Finish with banana and spices. I like this beer! Lets go to Oktoberfest....

Pours a cloudy yellow with super tall white head; definitely lighter colored than your typical Marzen. Wheaty, spicy aroma. Rich malt w/ some spice, wheat and just enough balancing hops. This is really good...different from the Marzen’s I’m used to, but not a lot.

On draft. This runs on a nitrogen blend much like the regular weissbrau. this beer has a nice marzen flavor. they didnt stray enough away from their standard weiss recipe in my opinion. I wanted a more agressive marzen.
