Lovers of strong beer need not worry that ERDINGER Weissbier Pikantus 'dark bock beer' is going to be too sweet, as is the case with so many bock beers. Despite the higher alcohol content, the Erding brew masters have succeeded in retaining the special Pikantus taste.

Pours a dark brown color, covered by a decent beige colored head. Average retention. Aroma is wheaty, some caramel presence and spices. Taste starts slightly sweet and wheaty, some caramel and spices in the finish. Slight presence of alcohol, but not off-putting. Decent brew.

500ml brown bottle from Erdinger mixed pack. Cloudy brown with orange highlights. Head is medium with a tight bead and beige in colour. Aromas of wheat, yeast, spice, caramel, light banana. Taste has wheat, caramel, touch of metallic hops. Malty finish with light alcohol showing through. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Decent enough, but not really exciting. Wanted to like this a bit more...

Aroma a malta, caramelo, levadura y especias.

From Gourmet Club of El Corte Ingles. In Paulaner glass. Playing Magic 2015. Drinks easy but doesnt enthusiasm. I prefer the taste of a normal weizen

Schmeckt sehr gut. Sollte gut gekühlt getrunken werden.

Beautiful dark, muddy burgundy pour with a thick, beige head. Effervescent carbonation. Nose is grainy, toffee, nutty, light citrus, herbal notes. A bit grainy and biscuity. Sweet, malty, toffee notes. A light herbal floral hop. a bit metallic. Spruce and piney a bit too. A bit of an oddball. Sweet and easy to sip on despite the boozy finish.
