COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lovers of strong beer need not worry that ERDINGER Weissbier Pikantus 'dark bock beer' is going to be too sweet, as is the case with so many bock beers. Despite the higher alcohol content, the Erding brew masters have succeeded in retaining the special Pikantus taste.

Pours typicaly in my weizen glass with a massive foam. The natural appearance is dark with an off white foam. The beer is strong....its a little raisiny and very alcoholic. Over all it drinks quite well but not my favourite,

50cl bottle. Brown color with a nice frothy head, good formation and medium persistence. Aroma is toasty, wheaty and sweety. Flavour is sweet, caramel and slightly toasted malty, with a final bready and moderate alcoholic. Texture is oily. carbonation is low. Body is medium to high.

Never been so disappointed by a beer. I’ve read reviews here and there and I expected a good weizenbock, while the Pikantus is not as good as others beer of the same style. I found it very watery, with a clear lack of aroma. The only good things about this beer is the appereance, when you verse it in the glass is pretty good-looking. That’s all. The alchool comes later, so take care when you drink it, you don’t feel it immediately.

Pours a dark brown color with little to no head. Aroma is yeast, bananas, and sweet malt. The taste is mostly the same, bananas, sweet malt, orange, a touch of alcohol. Pretty decent.

From a 500 ml bottle. Brown, hazy with an enormous stable head. very nice look! smell of (lots of) banana. tastes like banana, berries, a bit spicy, malty and sweet. Creamy texture and long lasting taste, lively carbonization. almost as good as the Schneider Aventinus Weizen Bock, but not as complex in its aromas.

Erdinger Pikantus Dunkler weizenbock It has a nice weisenbock cloudy brown robe with medium carbonation. Very chocolaty aroma, with notes of caramel and roasted nuts. Light fizz that ends or finishes short with the sweet bitter taste. Very refreshing beer
