Lovers of strong beer need not worry that ERDINGER Weissbier Pikantus 'dark bock beer' is going to be too sweet, as is the case with so many bock beers. Despite the higher alcohol content, the Erding brew masters have succeeded in retaining the special Pikantus taste.

Grandioser Bock! Wunderbar spritzig mit nicht allzu malzigem Nachgeschmack - mir gefällts! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An excellent Dunkler Weizenbock, the sweeter malt flavors are nicely tempered by a ripe banana character from the yeast, a bit of spices, and a surprisingly light body. Very underrated beer.

500ml bottle Appearance: A cloudy dark amber with a medium very bubbled tanned head. Allthough bubbly the retention is quite good , and it leasves only a few spots of lacing. Aroma: Sweet grains. malts. Toffee. Wheat.,bread. notes , banana Taste : Starts a bit sweet (But not too sweet) with banana and caramel tones and some malts then followed by wheat and bread tones backing the sweetness further down, Finishing off with a light bitterness, a hint of alcohol to round it off. Leaving the bread tones mainly there in the aftertaste. Thin- Medium and light creamy body. average carbonation. Decent, but very predictable.

Bottle from Glug Newcastle. Pours dark brown, small but lasting head. Rich wintry fruity flavours. Not overwhelming but subtly warming. Tastes less strong than the ABV suggests, but nice

Buttery raisin and fig nose, wheat bread and oatmeal highlights. Cloudy brown, thick tan head, fair retention. Liquid raisin bread flavor. Fig also detected, but only semi sweet. Medium body, soft carbonation. Light on the spice and fruit typical of the style, but wonderful maltiness.

Een mooi donkerbruin bier met cremekleurige schuimkraag. Geur van gebrande mout en caramel. Smaak van mout, hop, caramel, aardetonen. Nasmaak is hoppig bitter. Een lekkere Weizen Bock.
