COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lovers of strong beer need not worry that ERDINGER Weissbier Pikantus 'dark bock beer' is going to be too sweet, as is the case with so many bock beers. Despite the higher alcohol content, the Erding brew masters have succeeded in retaining the special Pikantus taste.

Cloudy light brown in color with a nice head that retains well. Sweet maltiness in aroma and taste. Taste is sweet with apparent alcohol at the back of the throat and it goes down smooth.

Bottle 50cl. Nice dark-brown colour, largeporously foam. Nose: dry fruits, raisins, dark chocolate. Taste: Malty, quite dry aftertaste but overall balanced and harmonic. Nice brew, much better than the other products of the Erdinger Familiy, this brew has its own charakter.

RSRIZZO (1940) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 9, 2008
Aroma is sweet with a roasted and caramel scent. Color is a hazy amber with very good carbonation and a big loose head. Taste sweet and bold. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is a bold roasted malt, caramel and fruit flavor that is back by a mild bitterness. Its a very good brew that is complex and very drinkable.

Pours a darkish red brown with a good sized head. Aroma of dark fruits, a little bread, and a little caramel. Flavor is sweet, but not much else going on. Palate seems slighlty thin.

Bottle. Pours deep reddish brown with thick, fluffy white head. Aroma has toasted/burnt notes, caramel, molasses, fruity (baked apple?), butterscotch and alcohol. Flavor is rich grainy bread, mild toasted-smokey grain flavors, fruity notes of berries, mild cherry, bananna, as well as mild spices, maybe nutmeg and corriander. Finish has very mild bitter flavor, light burn and lingering dark fruit. Excellent beer - nice complexity.

Botella. Comprada en supermercado. Muy buena cerveza. La mejor de Erdinger de las que se consiguen en Uruguay. Se sienten las especies de una forma muy especial.
