3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 50 cl. Dark brown in color, with a thick creamy tanned head. Sweet fruity, ripe banana, bready malty and some spices in aroma. Later on also some roasted and burnt woody notes appears. Lots of wheat in taste with some hints of banana. As it seems this isn’t that sweet as I expected, which is actually quite nice as it makes it more drinkable and enjoyable at the same time. Some yeast also in aftertaste with the before mentioned wheat and banana fruity flavors. Nice one and also the best that I’ve tasteed of Erdinger so far.

Color marron oscuro turbio. Espuma abundante y amarronada aunque con poca retencion. Aroma predominante a clavo de olor, luego frutal a naranja y algo a banana.
Sabor maltoso, trigo, pan, tostado, caramelo, nueces, banana, frutos oscuros. Buen cuerpo, suave para tomar, carbonatación media alta con final seco. Esconde muy bien sus 7,3% de alc.

Ceramic mug at Prien an Chiemsee. Sweet malty weizen taste, malty aroma with fruity notes. Taste is sweetish but rather balanced, it has a sharp dry edge, light bitter, supposedly neatly hopped. Full bodied, thick texture, carbonated. A bit difficult at first bug goes down pretty well, not my favorite in the style but solid.

Bottle from Willows Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is molasses, wet dark breads. Taste is bready, malty...not picking up much of the banana. Seemed a little subdued in flavor, will try again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown. Taste of dark and roasted malt and toasted wheat, sweetness is balanced, a bit of dark fruit and a pretty low hop finish but tasted herbal and spicy. Not a particularly heavy beer, moderate I’d say.
