4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 OldGerman (3) - USA - AUG 5, 2003 does not count
A masterpiece! I must concur with tallmatt67. This beer has not been rated highly enough to date! The Erdinger line is as close as I have found to the beer on tap in Germany.

The aroma is intensely malt heavy. It reminds me of Worcestershire sauce. The beer pours a deep brown with little head. The taste is all malt with only enough hops to keep it from being cloying. The dominant flavors are sweet toast notes with some nuttiness and a light presence of banana. The body is medium, but with a slightly sticky feel. A decent brew. Went well with the goulash and schnitzel sandwich.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 darioklc (116) - Karlovac, CROATIA - MAY 21, 2012
Deep brown color with thick creamy tan head. High active carbonation.
Smell is between caramel, biscuit and dark chocolate.
Taste is sweet from fruit. Some clove spice and phenol add in more compexity while hop tries to balance with bitterness.
I have first time tried that kind of beer and it felt somewhat strange but I liked it.

Bottle from mein-biershop.de. Hazy brown color with huge stable white head. Aroma of caramel, banana, molasses,. Taste, wheat, banana, caramel, roasted malt, yeast, dark fruit, hints of chocolate, light bitterness in background. Nice decent bitterness in finish. Very tasty Weizenbock.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2012
Half litre brown bottle brought back from Berlin to review, drank on 28 April 2011, two days before it’s best before date!
The huge off-white bubbly head sat on top of a murky reddy brown body, the Franziskaner Weissbier glass showing it off perfectly.
The aromas were of All Spice, Mace and yeasts.
The taste was roasted nuts in molasses, semi-sweet toffee and Victoria Plums. As the beer began to warm in the glass I detected the taste of sultanas and raisins trying to be get out.
The robust body with a good depth of strength just about contained the alcohol content, which scarcely manages to put it’s head above the parapet.
I really enjoyed this beer, both warming and satisfying.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 esp0r (803) - NORWAY - APR 8, 2012
Bottle shared with my brother
Brown, white head that fast falls down to a thin layer. Smells of malts and caramel, also some wheat and yeast esters. Quite sweet taste, malty too, not any other news to write home abouth... High carb for the style i have to say, quite thick feel and a nice discrete bitter finish. Totally this is a very one dimensional weizen bock. I miss some more flavors and aromas, this ends up as a sweet wheaty mess. Fortunatly there are pretty good weizen bocks out there

Bottle from The Cave. Dry caramel malt aroma. Rich dark brown colour, big foamy beige head, lively carbonation. Banana caramel malt flavour. Smooth with sweet aftertaste. Does not feel like 7.4%.
