COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a slightly darker color and slightly higher alcohol content than the classic ERDINGER Weissbier 'with fine yeast', the 'winter brew' offers a really pleasant change at the coldest time of the year, a time when we like to treat ourselves to something special. Available between November and February.

Bouteille 50cl, BB 06/2013.

Pour in pale light orange cloudy body with big creamy head. Long lacing. Aromas are orange, citrus, honey, melon, hay. Palate tart fruity and wheat yeasty. Carbonation is soft smooth and mouthful. Aftertaste is fruity little dry, and yeast. Overall quite balanced wheat beer with nice astringent finish.

Bottle 0,50L. Cloudy light brown colour with big, rocky, mostly lasting white head. Lively carbonation with a lot of bubbles. Aroma of malt, bread, banana and bubble gum. Very smooth mouthfeel. Taste is kinda neutral at the start and crispy, while aftertaste is bitter.

50cl bottle @ home. Hazy light orange color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell wheat, slightly musty, slightly herbs or spices. Taste wheat, slightly some fruity sweetness with the obvious banana touch, slightly herbs or spices in the finish. Firm carbonation, medium body. Better then expected.

Hazy orange colored pour. Big off-white head that slowly falls and leaves some lacing behind. Big aroma of malty bananas. Taste is the same. Dry finish of malt and bananas. Not bad, a bit different than the regular hefe.

Cunningham (2972) - Halden, NORWAY - JAN 30, 2013

Appearance: Cloudy dark yellow color with a big white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Sweet wheat, caramel malty and banana.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a some bitterness. Rich carbonation.
Taste: Sweet (not as sweet as expected) wheat and banana. Also a bit caramel malty as in a dunkel hefeweize.
Overall impression: A mix between helles and dunkel hefeweize. Fresh and enjoyable.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Halden, Norway.

tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 27, 2013
Medium amber to orange body that looks rather cloudy. The head is true to the style: huge, white, creamy, long-lived and it laces the glass well. The aroma on the other hand is but a echo of what a perfect hefeweizen should provide. It’s a bit faint and it’s dominated by some very sweet notes of artificial banana in the front with sweet hints of wort in the back. There is a light sweetness in the initial taste, while a very light bitterness shows up in the short finish. The flavours are sweet fruity with banana, some spices, a bit metal, faint butter and vague wort. Light and dry mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. A weak hefeweizen.
[50 cl bottle, enjoyed 8 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Storo, Oslo]
